Beautiful location far (just 15 minutes) from the chaos of Avola, surrounded by olive groves but with a view of the sea from its terrace. Home cooking, the dishes, in addition to being excellent, convey the chef's love for his land and its products. Alessandro, the very kind owner, passionately presents the menu that will delight you. Gluten-free pasta also available. To go there with your eyes closed if you are in the area of ​​Avola.

We had dinner at this beautiful farmhouse last night. Alessandro welcomed us kindly and explained the entire menu to us. We had dinner on a splendid terrace where you can enjoy a fantastic view. The appetizer consisting of numerous tastings of local products was excellent.....the olives they produce are delicious!!!! We took a pasta alla Norma and one with Sicilian pesto, both very good and to finish the almond pudding... SUBLIME!!!! We had a really good time and recommend it to all those who want to taste the true flavors of Sicily while enjoying a spectacular view. Even our dog Leone was well received 😊

The Monte Criscione farmhouse has the appearance of a truly well-maintained former millstone, where you can get away from the crowds and summer heat of the Avolese coast. The property also has rooms, but we only went for dinner. In this beautiful Sicilian location, you can enjoy good homemade cuisine: - excellent mixed appetizers, which I recommend and are the main dish of the house. -good first courses, but which lack the quality that distinguishes the starters - in the middle are the second courses, with the mixed grill, the meatballs and the excellent meat and sausage with nero d'Avola. -to review the desserts: almond pudding with a 'chemical' aftertaste, cheesecake with soft biscuit and main layer where you can't perceive the invoice with fresh cheese; ice creams ok. Great note of merit: the prices have not been affected by the increases of the last few years: between 10 and 12 euros per course, they finally make me recommend the farmhouse, with particular attention to starters and main courses. Curious to try the winter menu too.

Ho avuto il piacere di visitare l'agriturismo Monte Criscione ad Avola ed è stata un'esperienza decisamente positia. I piatti offerti sono un vero tripudio di sapori genuini e caserecci, che riflettono perfettamente la tradizione siciliana. Ogni portata è preparata con ingredienti freschi e di qualità, e si sente davvero il legame con la terra. L'accoglienza è stata calorosa, con un'atmosfera familiare che ti fa sentire subito a casa. Alessandro, è una persona gentilissima e sempre disponibile, pronto a soddisfare ogni esigenza con un sorriso. Se cercate un luogo dove assaporare la vera Sicilia e rilassarvi immersi nella natura, Monte Criscione è il posto giusto. Vista spettacolare. Consigliatissimo!

An absolute insider tip. We give it a full five stars. Very familiar. We were greeted personally and sat on the terrace with a wonderful view. Everything was just to feel good. There were several courses, but after the antipasti we were almost full. For the first course, on the recommendation of the three of us, we shared a portion and then went straight to dessert. Each course was lovingly explained and the quantity was queried. It really sweetened our vacation. Thank you very much
