The view of the mountain hut coming from the town is very beautiful. The wonderful view. It is the typical Friulian mountain hut so don't expect a 4 star restaurant. But it is beautiful precisely for this reason. Eating to the sound of cow bells was wonderful.
Welcome as if you were friends, not customers. Chatting with the owner was pleasant....I breathed the Friulian spirit that is no longer found in the new generations.
You can reach the mountain hut by car starting from the small church in the village. Don't worry if the road is narrow, you'll get there.
On foot from the town it is about 5 km of constant uphill.....hard...it took me 1 and a half hours to climb, sweating a lot.
The trail to the top of the mountain is less challenging.
I walked half of it because I was tired from the previous climb but the view is stupendous!
I'll have to go back to do it all.
