Great experience! Recommended! The arrosticini are okay, but the grilled lamb—I've never tasted it like that! It was a delicacy!!!! ...and I'm from Abruzzo.

We discovered Agriturismo La Pagliarella through the Maiellando website and, after a wonderful hike in the Orfento Gorge, we decided to stop here for lunch. It's about 13 minutes from Caramanico, and upon arrival, we were greeted by a large parking lot and, above all, the friendliness of the owner. The atmosphere is familiar, as is the cuisine, simple yet authentic. We started with a platter of cured meats accompanied by the ever-present cheese and egg balls: excellent, flavorful, and light. For our first courses, we chose ricotta ravioli with tomato sauce and chitarra pasta with truffle, both authentic and carefully crafted dishes that convey the true flavor of home cooking. Next, the arrosticini, truly delicious: tender meat with a delicate flavor, without the typical overly strong mutton odor, which can often be overpowering. To finish, a slice of Maiella cake, with sponge cake, cream, and chocolate, accompanied by an excellent gentian liqueur and house limoncello. Special praise goes to the owner, always kind and attentive, and to his wife, who prepares excellent dishes behind the scenes. It's wonderful to still find family-run businesses that make guests feel at home. The bill was more than fair: with an appetizer for three, five first courses, ten arrosticini, two desserts, three liqueurs, Montepulciano wine, and water, we spent €140 in total. Truly excellent value. A must-visit for those who want to combine nature, hiking, and good traditional Abruzzo cuisine.

Dear fellow travelers, If you're looking for a quiet, welcoming, and authentic place, you're in the right place. We (two friends) visited in mid-August 2025 and found one of the best sauces we've ever eaten—delicious! Traditional dishes with generous portions and affordable prices, all served by a very kind and cheerful gentleman, ready to offer not only culinary advice but also the best places in the area. Everything was prepared with great care by his wife in a homey atmosphere. Highly recommended!

A farmhouse nestled in the greenery of a charming countryside hamlet. The cuisine is typical of Abruzzo, simple and flavorful, with a homey, rustic feel. These ricotta ravioli were wonderful. We also sampled the cured meats, cheeses, and lamb, which I didn't photograph but which were truly excellent. We were here for Ferragosto (August 15th), but I think it's also worth a visit during quieter times.

In a very quiet area, with a beautiful stone exterior. I didn't stay, but I booked for dinner. The staff were extremely kind, welcoming, and friendly. The food was simply exquisite, starting with the warm focaccia basket. Don't expect a fancy restaurant, but a quiet, homely place with just a few options, all excellent. I hope to return again!

Wonderful experience, a blast from the past, memories of my childhood... The food is delicious and the staff very friendly. It's a family-run business that makes you feel at home. I recommend it to everyone.
