We had to break the journey from Lombardy to Calabria and this place turned out to be the best choice, in the middle of Italy. We had a wonderful lunch, as if we were at a wedding due to the portions and the goodness (but spending very little!) in a unique location: view of the lake and hills, panorama, animals and a warm and welcoming environment. Family run. Thank you very much for the welcome.

Una Gionata ai laghi (Turano e Salto) e in visita alla fiera del peperoncino di Rieti con il mio Piaggio CIAO dotato di variatore ( per un collaudo estremo ) che questa volta non mi ha lasciato in panne per le strade nelle colline e montagne che lo circondano percorrendo le strade secondarie ( un po’ malmesse ma circondate dalla natura ) che circondano il lago del Salto sono finalmente riuscito a tornare in questo agriturismo dopo un piacevole ricordo di molti anni fa , le persone che lo gestiscono sono come sempre gentilissime ti accolgono come in famiglia ( famiglia numerosa e gioviale) le pietanze che Giuseppina propone sono sempre abbondanti e di qualità prodotti del luogo come una volta . Tornerò sicuramente anche con più calma vale veramente la pena la cucina e l’accoglienza non delude mai . Per i possessori di camper come me è possibile sostare nella piccola piazza a due passi dall agriturismo o in una area di sosta non molto lontani direttamente sul lago .

EXCELLENT FOOD AND FANTASTIC LOCATION, overlooking the lake in the countryside. We ate the "tasting menu" and were pleasantly surprised. The service needs to be improved a bit, but still very good. We highly recommend!

In a very small village, in the Cicolano area, this new farmhouse has arisen. I advise you to look for parking on the street before arriving at the restaurant, since the aforementioned is located in a dead-end street where, as happened to us, a car had been left. car with emergency lights in the center of the road that prevented passage.
The food was good, but I missed the explanation of the dish, such as the origin of the ingredients, in my humble opinion.
We took a complete menu which included an appetizer of two different types of cured meats, two slices of cheese, a slice of ricotta, two slices of melon and a small bowl with some fantastic blackberry jam, a taste of beans with rinds and a taste of spelled. I don't know if the cheeses are from a local dairy and the jam is made by them, but they are still excellent.
Then always included in the menu are two first courses, a pasta and beans and some sagne with a white ragù.
For the second course, baked lamb with potatoes, dried sweets, wine and water, all for €30 per person.
The portions are very generous, but there is still room for improvement in terms of hospitality.
You can enjoy a beautiful view of Lake Salto.

3 minutes from the lake, a beautiful, very quiet place. We went for lunch, found it by chance, called at 2pm, despite the time they sat us down and served us. We had a great meal, a fixed menu of 30 euros including water and wine, the starter was delicious and rich, the ricotta was excellent, I would have stopped at the starter but they brought 2 first courses, second side dish, sweet fruit and coffee... they also have rooms that we don't have used but seeing the bathroom and the rest I can imagine that cleanliness should not be missing. Highly recommended!!
