Agriturismo Grion In Gorizia

The farmhouse is located within the hamlet of Lucinico, not very visible from the road. Renovated, it also has rooms for sleeping and a small shop selling wine, vegetables and cheeses. Anyone who reads my reviews knows that I see it from a vegetarian's point of view. I found little choice, a first course and a side vegetable. Still ate well.

Also this Friday, the usual "padel" group from Lucinico ate divinely well. We must thank the friendly owner who put up with us.

The food is good and plentiful and the dishes are exactly "grandma's" ones, with honest prices. The owner is very kind, the place is simple and the service is good.

The gnocchi with chicory and sausage and the frico with raw ham with vinegar were good, the roast pork with beer was not to my liking. The white wine ok. The cheesecake was excellent, the apple strudel was decent. Appreciated the apple juice. I came back, ate well. Good service, nice friendly staff.

Where can you eat better, with top quality ingredients and "zero metre" in Gorizia and its surroundings? Not to mention the service and the location... flavors of the past.

We were guests of this farmhouse for three nights before New Year's Eve 2023, also having dinner once in the restaurant, and only the best words can be said for both the structure and the two very kind sisters who run it. The mini-apartment is complete with everything for the kitchen and the bathroom offers sets with razors, combs, body cream etc. It is very recent and the furniture is of high quality, the sleep is perfect, it also has a small terrace. We were also given a gift of jam from the farm and some biscuits. The food is exquisite, especially the gnocchi with pumpkin and smoked ricotta were delicious! Incredibly low prices for great goodness. We will remember this place!

We stopped today for lunch. I took a bottle of prosecco they produce, a starter of cured meats, goulash with polenta, plum gnocchi and baked potatoes. For dessert, two homemade tiramisu in a glass. The desserts are all homemade. The owner is very kind and at the end of the meal she surprisingly brought us two fantastic single portions of chocolate cake filled with chocolate cream and liqueur. Amazing! We ate very well, we will definitely go back!!

Agriturismo accogliente, cibo ottimo, prezzi nella norma. Consigliatissimo. C'è anche un piccolo spaccio di prodotti locali.
