Modern and welcoming farmhouse style with swimming pool. The managers Marco and Luciana, nice and very kind, he in the kitchen, excellent quality, she in the dining room but also prepares excellent desserts, biscuits and pastries for breakfast as well as a delicious Genoese focaccia! Quando si dice che quello che cerchiamo andando al ristorante è vivere un'esperienza... a ben pensarci è proprio così.
E il ristorante della Foresteria la Merlina è un'ottima interpretazione del "vivere un'esperienza" di ristorazione attenta, realizzata con materie prime del territorio e di grandissima qualità, in un ambiente moderno e gradevolissimo, ben inserito nel contesto naturale della valle.
Apprezzabile attenzione ai piccoli produttori locali, specie nella carta dei vini.
Una cucina anche "raccontata" dalla titolare in sala, con calore ed entusiasmo.
Menù a prezzo fisso, scelta limitata a pochi piatti ben realizzati. Il prezzo non è basso, ma anche tenere aperto un locale di questo livello in un posto così "in culo ai lupi", per usare un francesismo, giustifica i 10 euro in più di quanto ci si potrebbe attendere se il locale fosse in luogo più raggiungibile e di conseguenza anche più frequentato in ogni stagione.

Io e mio marito abbiamo festeggiato l'anniversario in questa struttura meravigliosa. La giornata in piscina e il pranzo sono stati davvero perfetti. L'ambiente molto tranquillo, curato e il personale super gentile. Torneremo sicuramente...

Since I live in the area, I am not a bed customer but only a breakfast customer, in the sense that I take advantage of their catering and the swimming pool. Marco and his wife are nothing short of exquisite hosts and so is their catering... exquisite indeed. Genuine products, all homemade, from cured meats to pasta to final digestives. Unmissable location. you can have the pool formula with a dip and a cold buffet, or the restaurant menu. This time I only went to the restaurant with friends. It's worth going just to taste the truffled egg cooked at low temperature with montebore fondue. However, everything was delicious right up to the final sweets and washed down with an excellent timorasso also produced by them, the first year of bottling, in fact it was a timorasso with a low percentage of alcohol, 12.5%, compared to the classic timorassos that usually travel around and beyond the 14th.

A spectacular place to relax from the chaos of the city.
If you stay there you will have access to the sunbeds in the room for maximum privacy and to refresh yourself in the swimming pool.
The food is good and the staff are attentive and helpful.

We very pleasant in this beautiful structure on the hills of Tortona.
Small but very nice swimming pool, overlooking a beautiful panorama.
Spacious rooms, restaurant with excellent quality local products
Friendly owner and staff.
Not cheap overall, but the prices are adequate for the quality offered

We stayed here for a day and a night. Stunning place surrounded by greenery, infinity pool with breathtaking views. A small oasis of relaxation cared for and preserved with love. The owners are very kind and super attentive to every detail of the stay! we felt pampered from start to finish! Fantastic dinner, breakfast no less. The cakes have remained in our hearts! We will definitely return
