I can only say we had a wonderful Sunday, despite the adverse weather. A delicious truffle-based menu with carefully prepared, delicious, and locally sourced dishes. The welcome was special and the atmosphere very warm. We recommend staying here for the weekend too, taking advantage of the Foresteria's immaculately maintained rooms. Thanks again!

I visited the property for lunch but I had the opportunity to see the rooms and the enormous work they do to create a high-level farmhouse, with excellent food and service in a truly beautiful setting.

This is a review of the restaurant only, as we were not guests of hotel. I dined here with a group of friends on the last day of our Italy trip. We saved the best for last. We pulled into the parking lot at sunset, so our evening started with spectacular views. We were welcomed warmly, and enjoyed the relaxed pace of the service. The menu featured simple ingredients with a creative and delicious twist. Everything was absolutely delicious, but the rabbit needs a special mention. It was by far the most delicious rabbit dish I have ever tasted. We were fortunate enough to meet the proprietors, and we were made to feel like family. This special evening will become a core memory.

I cannot say enough great things about the food, drink, ambiance, and service at Foresteria La Merlina. This out-of-the-way location is well worth the trip. It features stunning mountain views, a beautiful patio, and a warm, inviting, interior. The wine was outstanding. We chose the white 2024 Pietranera (made in house) and it was faboulous. The food was simple and utterly delicious. I savoured every bite, and happily sopped up the extra sauce with the homemade bread that was provided for the table. Farm to table meals cannot be beat. Our server walked us though how each dish was made, explaining each dish with great (and much-deserved!) pride. Everything was fresh, perfectly prepared, and beautifully presented. One of the highlights of the meal came at the end, where we were treated to tastes of house-made digestifs, with a detailed account of how they were produced. INCREDIBLE!

The restaurant serves delicious food made with local produce. I highly recommend it.

We stopped for lunch and it was a wonderful experience. Especially the truly enchanting location with open spaces and lots of greenery. Excellent, refined cuisine, and attentive, very pleasant service.

I had a great time. Excellent food and wine, all locally sourced, all of their own production. If I'm not mistaken, they have 4 rooms and the pool is not huge but perfect for the location. Perhaps the rooms need to be reviewed in terms of comfort and perhaps some things should be priced less expensive (2 Coca Colas served by the pool €12..) But the place is super. Even if I couldn't dine at the table overlooking the pool and the view, I recommend it because it's an experience to remember. Definitely next time. In the end, nothing to say because quality comes at a price. I agree with the choice to host a few people, otherwise it would be to the detriment of the relaxation of the Merlina.
