Agriturismo Cancelleria In Benevento

Unfortunately, I can't give more than 3 stars. The place is clean, the outdoor space is beautiful and suitable for children. We had the 35 euro set menu for lunch, which in my opinion wasn't worth more than 25 euros. The appetizer was very simple and not very generous. The risen pasta fritters were quite sour and almost gone bad, so who knows how many days they'd been keeping the dough in the fridge. There were two first courses to choose from: one with 4 cheeses and the other with fusilli alla bolognese. The pasta alla bolognese is out of the question. I was hoping to eat typical local dishes. The second course was not very generous and light, made with pork and vegetables. The dessert was a sort of tiramisu; I still don't quite understand what it was. There was no choice of dessert. But the worst thing was definitely the wine, 1/4 of it, anything but wine, wine diluted with water. We're from the Campi Flegrei area and we certainly didn't come to Benevento to be fooled by the wine. Definitely, given the price, which wasn't worth what we ate, and the quality of the food, I won't be returning.

My family and I went here for New Year's Eve lunch...a very nice location with attention to detail...I imagine how nice it would be to be able to use the outdoor space during the warmer months...normal dishes, neither good nor bad!

An authentic and delightful experience A family-run agriturismo nestled in the countryside of Contrada Cancelleria, just minutes from Benevento, yet in a tranquil setting. A refined lunch, never overdone, that showcases rural tradition with lightness and moderation. The entrée was excellent, with flavorful potatoes, mountain pizzas, and fritters made with fresh pasta, authentic and well-made. The meats were tender and high-quality, and the first course was a real treat: fresh pasta with local cherry tomatoes, arugula, and Provolone del Monaco, balanced and flavorful. The dessert was also delicious. The Aglianico Benevento wine, produced on the farm, is noteworthy: fresh and sincere. The service was orderly, without chaos, well-timed, and the hospitality was great, making it ideal for families with children. A true agriturismo, with a farm behind it and its own products: cured meats, pasta, meats, and wine. A highly recommended experience. Mario (Naples)

This is my third time here and it's always great. Clean location surrounded by nature, huge play areas for children, and excellent food.

We stayed at this beautiful property at the end of November, and despite the cold and rain, our experience was very positive! We were greeted by the warmth of the fireplace and the owner. The room was large and air-conditioned, very clean, and provided a set of towels per person. Breakfast and lunch featured authentic, local products, with generous and tasty dishes. The location is strategic, 10 minutes from Benevento and 10 from the old town of Apice. All the staff were extremely kind and even took my son to see the animals. We definitely plan to return in the summer to enjoy the outdoor pool and children's area! One small point—I don't know if it was just us staying there—but we would have loved to have had the heaters turned on because it was very cold (the air conditioning worked well, though), more toiletries (only two bars of soap were provided), and to have had our room tidied up. I absolutely highly recommend this property to everyone!

We spent a pleasant Sunday with the kids and friends. The restaurant is new and welcoming inside, with a large outdoor garden and games for the little ones, who really enjoyed themselves. With a fixed menu of €35 per person, we enjoyed a relaxing lunch featuring all genuine products, from appetizer to dessert. We'll definitely keep it in mind for the future ♥️ See you soon!

A welcoming and quiet place. Breakfast and lunch are also good. A pleasant experience.
