Aghegole In Gemona del friuli

I spent an evening with friends. Well-kept place, beautiful and good food, but the prices are a bit high, if I must say...

After the kitchen closed, we were served a cold dinner, a cheese and ham platter, salad, and a delicious pistachio pie before closing time. We received a very kind welcome, and everything was truly delicious.

A good place if you're stopping in those parts... a place that rhymes with Friuli (see tomato frico, among their offerings) but whose daily offerings deviate a bit from the traditional ones. Here, for example, you can find "pepper tart with anchovies and buffalo mozzarella" (a perfect dish in my opinion) or for a first course: tonnarelli with squid ink and potatoes... (not a bad portion either). A dish that satisfied me and maybe at the next stop, assuming the conditions achieved so far remain unchanged, capable of snatching another star from me. The interior is very pleasant and inviting; I hope they continue to do so, or at least I hope so. Oh, I forgot, I thought it was implicit, but it's better to describe it: welcoming, attentive, scrupulous management who knows how to make the customer feel at ease. Returning after some time, I found the place as already described in the previous review (if not better), dishes above average in taste and inventiveness at a reasonable price... a place that I would still define (for the decor and a bit of everything) of "contained extravagance"... a must stop if you're in the area.

Arrived by chance on the advice of the owner of a nursery in Osoppo. I am struck by the welcome in a place that feels like home but with a chic touch. Exceptional raw materials, we ate very well with seasonal proposals that were also very refined. Also local products and displayed at the counter. The best tiramisu I have ever eaten, delicious apple crumble and ice cream, exceptional chard and spring onion soup. Everything was delicious. The staff is very kind and empathetic, easy-going and attentive to detail. A special applause to Jacopo who advised us on what to choose according to our requests. This is exactly what I mean by "going out to eat": you have to eat healthily like at home, feel like a queen and at the same time feel absolutely at ease. Well done, well done, well done!!! Prices displayed without surprises and the cover charge is free and mind you, it is one of the best covers I have seen so far.
