You know you've come to the right place when you leave your car keys with the valet upon entering. The welcome, young and impeccably formal, is warm. The atmosphere is reminiscent of St. James's in London in the 1970s, with wood and books. The lighting is just right and the cloakroom service is prompt. We are escorted to our table by Tommaso: "I'll be here to help you." I confess: I didn't look at the menu and left it to Tommaso. Carpaccio, mini sandwich, and burger, then flambéed chateaubriand with marrow on the side, and other excellent appetizers. When paying the bill, ask for the car, which will be waiting for you outside the door. Great Affineur, and thanks to Tommaso for the constant and light assistance.

Last night, two of us went to Affinatore. We started with a Wagyu tartare and Wagyu toast, followed by a Black Angus tomahawk weighing about 2 kg. To finish, two desserts. Throughout the evening, we drank wine, bitters, and other spirits. The quality of the food was exceptional. Excellent meat, evident in the raw ingredients, and the tomahawk was perfectly cooked. No technical flaws. The service was of a level rarely encountered: constant attention but never invasive. Every glass of water was refilled immediately, the bottle replaced as soon as it was finished. The meat was served on a grill to keep it warm, and every time we finished a piece, a waiter immediately served another. Impeccable coordination and timing. The price is high, especially for the wines, which are more expensive than average and the market. However, the cost is consistent with the overall experience. What you pay is returned in full in quality, service, and total control of the experience. High value for money, despite the bill.
