Acquolina Ristorante In Roma

Booked at very short notice and was fortunate to secure a table. What an experience! This restaurant was nothing short of extraordinary. Firstly, the service was impeccable - the wait staff were attentive and so engaged and proud in presenting what Chef Danielle Lippi had prepared. The wine parings were not only perfect, but every one of them was a wine we had never tried (or even heard of), nor had we ever tried most of the varieties presented. The food itself was wonderful - some of the combinations were things you’d might never consider, such as a cauliflower and white chocolate puree that accompanied a cod with caviar, or the Almond, Rhubarb and Strawberry foam/anglaise that had powdered caper leaves sprinkled on it. Our final surprise came after we asked one of our waiters to send our thanks and compliments to the chef for such a memorable meal. Chef Danielle suddenly appeared from the kitchen to also thank us in return for coming and to ask us for our thoughts on various dishes. Such an impressive and engaging man with an obvious passion and pride for what he does. What a great night! If you’re ever in Rome, do yourself a huge favour and have dinner at Acquolina!

This is our first experience with a two star Michelin restaurant Completely beyond our expectations The only way to put this is that "the art of food meet science" The amount of creativity and effort behind each dish, the attention to detail is mind blowing. Needless to say, service was top notch and environment-wise, despite not having a bombastic scenery, it was a nice and elegant decor with a peaceful ambience for our dining experience. We even asked for a print out menu at the end of the meal so that we can recall all the fine details of the food we had. The Tomato flavored croissant was our favorite!

Overall great experience. Some dishes were a bit difficult to understand the taste. Good wine selection.

Tucked in a boutique hotel. Excellent service and thoughtful menu that truly stand up to the Michelin standards. Our group had a fun time celebrating my friend’s birthday here.

We chose the seafood menu. I was about 80% full at the end. The seafood was so delicious. Especially the spaghetti, it is the best al dante spaghetti I had during my trip to Italy. It will be our must go when we visit Rome next time.

Siamo stati in questo locale per festeggiare il ns 25 Anniversario di Matriminio e devo dire che veramente ne è valsa la pena . Location da urlo , locale situato presso l’Hotel a 2 passi da piazza del Popolo. Servizio direi impeccabile , davvero impressionante x quanto attenti . Come si entra si respira l’aria dei grandi locali ! Cantina molto bella situata nel locale con oltre 1000 etichette . Abbiamo apprezzato tantissimo il fatto che nonostante abbiano solo i menu’ Degustazione , hanno comunque cambiato 2 piatti x mia moglie ! Inoltre abbiamo deciso di abbinare al menu il percorso abbinamento e per la prima volta ci hanno dato 1 calice x ogni portata ! Inoltre ci sono molte pietanze aggiuntive nel menu’ , quindi il tutto è molto appagante . Bene bene !

Siamo tornati dopo un anno con la mia ragazza, abbiamo trovato un nuovo look all’hotel e sala ancora più accogliente. I piatti dello Chef li abbiamo trovati anche questa volta minimal e diretti, con tanta tecnica ma pur sempre vicini alla nostra tradizione italiana. Sala magnifica e servizio impeccabile. Complimenti ragazzi per questa meravigliosa esperienza, sicuramente il nostro ristorante preferito a Roma.
