Went here last year. Was the best Carbonara I had in Rome! Wife had a Spaghetti alle Vongole and loved it as well!

An excellent restaurant with great value. This is a popular restaurant for good reason. Food taste, amount, and variety were great. I had lasagna, chicken and potatoes. My wife had carbonara and asparagus. Service was excellent. Wine was excellent. Only ding would be tight outdoor seating. Toilet was Italian style. Price was outstanding. Recommend.

Highly recommended. Classic Roman restaurant popular with the locals. Wait staff was polite and professional. Prices are good and much better than the tourist trap spots around the monuments. Would happily become a regular if I were local.

I'm giving 5 stars for three reasons.
1. The atmosphere is old school. All wooden interior. Servers with vests. Classic Roman menu. Character.
2. It is out of the way. Although basically in the heart of Rome (if that exists), it does not feel touristy.
3. The quality of the food way outdoes the price. Most dishes are under 20 Euro.
Some gems. The Veal and Cantelloni "Abruzzi" are classic dishes slightly reimagined. The Veal is stuffed with mozzarella, I highly recommend this. The Cacio y Pepe was among the best I had in Rome, and I tried at least 5. I paid 24 Euro for a filet that melted in my mouth and would have cost 44 almost anywhere else.

Authentic Roman cuisine. Food that warms your heart. The way I remember it from almost 40 years ago.

The Ristorante Abruzzi has been the best place in terms of quality/price ratio that we have eaten at in Rome. It was my second time in the city and this restaurant is an excellent option.
The waiters are very nice, friendly, and the service in general is fast. The location of the restaurant is magnificent, as it is located in the historic center of Rome, just a few steps from Piazza di Spagna, the Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain.
As for the food, it has pretty good prices and represents Roman gastronomy very well. In addition, it has a very typical decoration of a classic and original Italian restaurant.
We tried several pastas, such as carbonara, cacio e pepe, puttanesca and lasagna, and each one was better than the last, in addition to being 100% authentic. The house wine they offered us was a total success, accompanied by a shot of Amaro from Abruzzo to finish the dinner.
And all this at a very reasonable price, so it is a total recommendation if you are in the area.
