Last night I had the pleasure of dining at IYO Kaiseki, and it was a truly unforgettable experience. Each dish was a small masterpiece: top-quality ingredients, elegant presentation, and a balance of flavors that showcases the sophistication of Japanese cuisine.
But what made the evening even more special was the staff: attentive, professional, and always present with a genuine kindness that immediately made you feel at ease. You can sense the great care for the customer in every detail.
A restaurant that's more than just a dinner, but a true sensory journey. Definitely worth a try!

Incredible place, delicious food, and impeccable service. We had a wonderful time from start to finish.
Special thanks to Benissa, incredibly kind and attentive, who guided us with great care and professionalism through the kaiseki tasting, explaining each dish and ensuring an authentic experience, meticulously crafted down to the smallest detail.
Each course was balanced, refined, and full of flavor: the quality of the ingredients and the passion in the kitchen were clearly evident.
A highly recommended experience; I'll definitely be back!

High expectations, partially met but not entirely. We had lunch on Friday, January 24th, with a seafood tasting menu. The dishes were delicious and carefully presented, but the ingredients were decidedly unsustainable and sourced from all over the world. For example, I remember the sea bream and shrimp from Aregntino. Some dishes were truly delicious. The place wasn't very welcoming, with a chilly air. A negative note on the wines: we ordered a bottle listed as 2010 from the menu, but we received a 2024 bottle for the same price. This aspect was poorly taken care of, and despite our report, no one found it necessary to apologize. Perhaps there are some aspects that could be improved.

My family and I decided to try the tasting menu to sample everything, and in addition to that, we ordered the glazed eel, the shrimp and vegetable tempura, and the wagyu. The eel was exquisite. The tempura was very light. The wagyu melted in our mouths.
From appetizer to dessert, everything was perfect. The raw fish and the ingredients in general were truly high quality. In my opinion, the best sushi I've ever eaten. The price was fair for what we ate, and the service was top-notch!

IYO Kaiseki in Milan is a Michelin‑star Japanese restaurant offering refined kaiseki cuisine and excellent sushi in an elegant, intimate setting.
We chose the à la carte menu and the experience was great: beautifully presented dishes, precise flavours, and a well‑paced sequence of courses. Staff are extremely kind, attentive and professional, adding a lot to the overall feeling of care and quality.
Prices are high but fully aligned with the level of food, service and ambiance, so it feels like fair value for a special night out. Reservations are definitely required, especially for dinner and weekends, given the limited seats and popularity of the restaurant.

Elegant and welcoming atmosphere.
Very quiet with warm, soft lighting but not dark, spacious spaces with well-spaced tables.
Excellent dishes, always well-explained by the very courteous staff. Since it's traditional Japanese cuisine, it's not always clear what you're getting, and their explanations are truly invaluable.
Fresh, quality ingredients.
Everything is carefully considered, down to the smallest detail, for an absolutely delightful experience.
The wine (and sake) list is well-curated and well-stocked.
The overall quality is very high, so I think it's pointless to talk about prices.
However, I can say that if you eat like a normal person, you can eat enough and leave feeling completely satisfied without overindulging, so in this respect too, I'd say it gets a thumbs up!
In short, if you want to spend an intimate evening with your partner in a classy venue, this is the ideal place.
Given the quiet atmosphere, I don't recommend it for groups of friends who want to chat.

Overall a lovely restaurant, but I didn’t find value was justified. The food was perfectly good just nothing wowed us. Quality of ingredients was nice but didn’t feel very far off any other nice Japanese restaurant. €180pp

The location and atmosphere were beautiful, but the food was disappointing. All the dishes were tasteless despite the fresh, high-quality ingredients. The welcome entrée was embarrassing: a tiny piece of chicken perched on a bland avocado accompanied by a bland beetroot puree. Frankly, a Michelin-starred restaurant can't afford such mediocre food.
Prices are high for what they offer.
Disappointing.
