A' Matrella In Serino

I'm a regular customer of the "A' Matrella" pizzeria. Gennaro's pizza is excellent—delicious, light, and very digestible. Simone's dishes are excellent, absolutely worth trying. I recommend the Genoese-style "candele," the cacio e pepe spaghetti, and the bacon skewers (but there are others worth trying, too!). The atmosphere is very friendly; the place is cute and well-kept. Highly recommended!

Among the best pizzerias in the Sabato Valley. I've always found the atmosphere welcoming and friendly from the staff. Try not only the pizza, but also the fried foods and other dishes.

As soon as we arrived at the restaurant, the very friendly waiter seated us immediately (we had reservations since there were eight of us). We ordered fried food and pizzas of various flavors. The fried food was exceptional, well-cooked and super dry. The bacon skewer was truly a revelation. The pizza was very good and was served to everyone more or less at the same time. The staff was friendly and helpful despite the outdoor plaza being really busy. If I may suggest, perhaps having an extra waiter would have improved the service, making it more efficient and less tiring for the two young men serving the tables, who really did everything they could to accommodate every customer's needs.

The guys are committed. Excellent pizza, soft and well-aired dough. Baking is good; the pizza base (and therefore the oven) is clean. Good selection of ingredients. There are "few" types of pizza, but - in addition to the classics - there are innovative specials. Update 2025. Always excellent pizzas. Average prices: Margherita €4; elaborate pizzas €6; specials €7-9. Cover charge €2. Takeout service (carton + waxed paper) is also excellent. Small but pleasant atmosphere. Recommended. It was our first time here and we happened upon it by chance. We enjoyed the tagliata and some delicious semifreddo. The kindness of the staff is commendable. We will definitely be back.
