⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Oh, Ristorante Vecia Cavana, you’ve stolen my heart and my taste buds in a way I never saw coming!
Tucked away near Campo Santi Apostoli, this gem isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a love letter to Venice, served on a plate with a side of soul-stirring ambiance.
From the moment I stepped into this beautifully restored cavàna (yes, I learned that’s a fancy Venetian boathouse, thank you very much), I was smitten.
The exposed brick arches and mooring hooks whispered tales of gondoliers past, wrapping me in a warm, nostalgic hug that said, “You’re home, even if you’re just visiting.”
The food? Oh, dear reader, prepare for a culinary romance.
The gnocchi with zucchini and shrimp was like a first kiss—soft, surprising, and utterly unforgettable. Each bite of their Venetian specialties felt like a page torn from a 16th-century cookbook, reimagined with a wink and a flourish by chefs who clearly have poetry in their souls.
And let’s talk about the wine list—curated with such care, it’s like they bottled the rolling hills of Friuli just for me. Pairing my meal with a crisp Friulian vintage was the kind of decision that makes you want to write sonnets.
But what truly brought tears to my eyes (and not just from the joy of eating) was the service( and accept my full praise for Mr. Cristian)
The staff at Vecia Cavana don’t just serve you; they adopt you into their Venetian family. They glided through the dining room with warmth and wit, making sure every moment sparkled like the canals at sunset. When I spilled a bit of sauce (because, of course, I got too excited), they didn’t just clean it up—they turned it into a charming anecdote, leaving me laughing instead of blushing.
This wasn’t just a meal; it was a journey through Venice’s heart, served with a side of magic.
Vecia Cavana, you’ve left me with a full belly, a fuller heart, and a desperate need to return.
To anyone reading this: don’t just eat here—let this place wrap you in its Venetian embrace. You’ll leave a little more in love with life.

Came here by the recommendation of a shop owner in Murano, as this is where he and his wife go for fresh seafood on date nights. Did not disappoint. Food was delicious. Service was even better. Everyone from the bartender in the wine room while we waited for our table, to the gentlemen that served our table...100%. Best dining experience we had in Venice. Raw platter appetizer was yummy. Turbot melted in your mouth. My daughter loved her lobster. They gave us free drinks to start out with, an entire bottle of Limoncello at the end. Will definitely go here again next time we visit Venice.

Typical Venetian restaurant renovated for meatballs. Recommended stop on a respectable bacaro tour. The meatballs are actually really good! I recommend booking because it doesn't have a lot of seats.
