A real Italian restaurant. Very good food, warm and attentive welcome. Note: tip must be added to the bill 💜

A beautiful restaurant off the beaten path with a great selection of local fare. There are both fish and meat appetizers, pastas, and entrees. We were greeted with a refreshing glass of grapefruit and ginger ale and a small plate of thinly sliced smoked salmon drizzled with olive oil. We ordered prosciutto and cuttlefish risotto to start. Both were delicious. Entrees were turbot and branzino. When we declined dessert, we were given a plate of cookies and merengue. Don't miss it!

The best seafood pasta I ever had. And they accommodated my allergies to gluten and dairy!

I had dinner with my family and friends. The place is beautiful. The quality of the food is excellent. Excellent ingredients and excellent preparation. Gluten-free options are available, completely safe. Honorable mention goes to the owner and staff for their courtesy and professionalism. The owner was wonderful and even entertained my daughter and her friend by showing them how to carve prosciutto. I highly recommend this place. Thank you for a wonderful dinner.

Nothing special. Rather dull, it seems like a tourist place.

Hands down the best gluten and dairy restaurant in Venice. We went to a local grocery store that specializes in GF products and he recommended it for us - unknowling we had already eaten here. Do yourself the favor of eating here.

Arriving in Venice this morning, we asked the hotel what place they recommended for dinner and went to "Vecia Cavana," where I enjoyed excellent Venetian food, not touristy, with dishes for every need (vegetarian, vegan, and more) and attention to detail. Special mention goes to the service, which was excellent and attentive to every little need! It met all my needs. Highly recommended... definitely going back.

We stumbled upon this local Italian place near our hotel and it felt genuinely authentic - lots of Italian customers and we saw waiters hugging regulars, which was a good sign. We decided to give it a try and ordered several items marked as local specialties.
For starters, we had the spider crab salad and sarde in saor (sweet and sour sardines). The crab salad was fresh but pretty plain, nothing exciting. The sardines were something completely new for us and turned out to be a pleasant surprise - definitely unique and worth trying.
Our mains were spaghetti with shrimp in spicy tomato sauce and seppie al nero (cuttlefish in ink). The spaghetti was pretty ordinary and the "spicy" sauce was barely noticeable. The cuttlefish, however, was excellent - soft, flavourful, and perfectly salty. Unfortunately, the polenta that came with it was rubbery and disappointing.
The service was friendly and attentive.
Overall, it was a very pleasant meal and the food felt authentically Venetian. I'd definitely recommend it over the surrounding restaurants which seemed more touristy serving the usual pizza and carbonara.
