Typical Venetian cicchetteria. Good food at fair prices, away from the main tourist traffic. Definitely worth a detour for a cicchetto.

We stayed at a nearby Airbnb and ended up coming here twice for dinner and drinks. Each time, the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, especially considering we were the only foreigners there (this is not the typical touristy spot). The food was absolutely delicious, and the wine selection was excellent as well. We had such a lovely experience overall, highly recommend! ❤️

Get off the beaten path! Here you'll find La Scuela. A REAL Osteria. A Venetian Osteria. To savor a slice of authentic Venice, exquisite food, and first-rate hospitality. We stumbled upon it by chance, and I'll definitely find it again and recommend it to anyone traveling to Venice.

My third day and I felt like a local. Warm and welcoming she was this kindest person I have meet so far in Venice. The site didn’t feel very touristy but every tourist should make their way out to give her a try and experience her little shop full of love and passion.

Finally, a real bacaro. Only in the Castello district can you still find these "real" bacari, away from the touristy San Marco district. Excellent food, spritz as it should be (with select wine, of course), and Francesca (happy birthday, Francesca), a true Venetian without too many frills. Voted my best bacaro in Venice. I'll have to return. Well done, Cussi.

Small bar in a small street. We only came in for coffee but the Chiccheti looked good. Service was fine.

All the food we tried was delicious! The atmosphere was great, and the service was wonderful. We could feel the charm of a little place for locals, with the warmth of the Italians.

22/09/2025: Yes, definitely. Just be prepared for waiting times from around 7 pm onwards.
14/09/2025: As I passed Al Veliero restaurant, I was drawn by the sign, the location visible from the main road, and...the long line! We waited about 15 minutes, then they seated us. The staff was kind, professional, and friendly. We had a seafood dinner, and everything was delicious. We had such a great time that we returned the next evening. I had the honor of trying a dessert made with so much cream for the first time! A huge thank you to the lady who runs it and her staff!!!

06/03/2026: Very good pizza, thin and crispy. Wide selection, including seasonal options, all featuring radicchio. Fast service. Very large restaurant near the center of Mestre. I'd love to go back.
04/03/2026: Da Pino is like something out of the Godfather movie. The food is delicious, the staff are friendly, and the service is fast and high-quality. Even the staff are from different religions and cultures. The prices are reasonable. I really loved it; I went there every day I was there, and I hope I'll have the chance to go again.
