We had a wonderful time at La Maison restaurant in Fornovo.
We opted directly for first and second courses (we'll definitely return to try the classic torta fritta and cured meats).
Among the first courses, the pigeon bomb was noteworthy, along with delicious pumpkin ravioli in a cream of parmesan and balsamic vinegar. A small flaw, in my opinion, was the prolonged cooking of the classic pink gnocchetti with Castelmagno and truffle, but the flavor of the dish was truly delightful.
For second courses, a perfectly prepared boiled meat with an excellent mustard and four types of sauces. The baked duck with potatoes is definitely worth trying.

Passing by on the highway on Monday, we decided to stop in Fornovo. We called at 1:50 PM and asked if they could accommodate us since the kitchen closed at 2:00 PM.
They waited for us, and we had a very good lunch.
The food we ordered arrived promptly and was plentiful, very tasty, and very well cooked. The service, despite the late hour, was punctual, courteous, and impeccable. We were surprised to find a truly pleasant, comfortable, and very charming atmosphere.

Stone walls and arches enclose the main dining room with an open kitchen, a smaller dining room, and a private corner. The restaurant offers traditional dishes that are often hard to find on the menu, such as pigeon rice bomb (even for one person) and passatelli in capon broth. A selection of boiled meats accompanied by salsa verde, salsa contadina, horseradish, and mustard honor tradition.
Informal yet attentive and fast service.

Had lunch on Saturday. The cold cuts were all good and plentiful.
The best part was the boiled meats. One of the tastiest and most complete I've ever eaten. The wine list was good.
The staff was friendly and efficient.

As the Romans used to say, "nomen omen," meaning "in name and in fact": at Maison
B&B, you truly feel at home. Upon arrival, I was greeted by
the very kind and helpful Patrizia, who accompanied me
to the apartment, where I found the rooms and furnishings new, clean, and
comfortable in every way. Reserved parking is available on private
property in front of the building. The area where the apartment is located is also
well-served: 150 meters away, there's a café serving breakfast
free of charge (we're talking about homemade brioches, not frozen
foods) or, at lunchtime, enjoying expertly prepared first and/or second courses
at absolutely fair prices.
I highly recommend this property, especially for those visiting Prato, which is
just a few minutes' drive away.

A remarkable venue, a blend of culture and a homey atmosphere, and friendly staff. The menu focuses on traditional local dishes, but not limited to them. The wine list is also well-balanced, with both affordable and high-end wines. I'd love to return during boiled meat season. I highly recommend it. Reasonable prices.

The tortellini with 36-month-old parmesan are sublime. The location and service are remarkable; it's not cheap, but the price is right for what you get.
