I went to Al Karim in Como hoping for an express trip to Lebanon without needing a passport. Mission… partially accomplished. The waitress was really good: kind, smiling, and with that saintly patience you need when service is a bit slow. Let's just say that between courses, I had time to update my resume, check my backlog of emails, and almost finish a chapter of the book I was reading. If you're looking for zen relaxation between falafels, you've come to the right place. The food? Honest. Nothing memorable, but not one to send back either. The hummus and typical dishes were okay, but… honestly, I've eaten at another Lebanese restaurant in Como that left me with much better memories (and a much happier stomach). Here, the value for money is average: you pay for what you eat, no more, no less. The atmosphere is nice, nothing spectacular, but functional. Perfect if you want a quiet dinner without too many expectations. In short, Al Karim is a decent place for a Lebanese lunch or dinner when other restaurants are full or you want to try something different. The waitress saves the evening, but the slow service and the knowledge that the food is better elsewhere leave a slightly bitter aftertaste (even though the baklava was sweet).

The food is really good and not heavy; there's a wide selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes, too. The atmosphere is relaxing, and the service is friendly and unobtrusive. Highly recommended, even with the Fork discount!

It was a great experience. The place is beautiful, the staff is friendly and welcoming, and they can recommend what to order, even based on your preferences. Next time I'll be back to try some other dishes, especially the mint lemonade. Thank you so much ☺️

We ordered takeout. The service was friendly and courteous, and the food was delicious. The interior was spacious and well-air-conditioned, and I saw outdoor gazebos. Ample parking.
