I've been coming here for years. And each time, I've never chosen from the menu. Trust them completely. Open the door, take a seat, and put away your napkin. Ask and you shall receive. Excellent service, pleasant atmosphere, food beyond expectations. Probably one of the best restaurants in eastern Sicily.

It's all very well.
But the chef in the kitchen wearing nitrile gloves fiddling with his cell phone deserves attention.
Under HACCP, hand washing is always mandatory and frequent (before starting, between tasks, after touching dirty surfaces or your body). Gloves, however, are not always mandatory and can be used (after thoroughly washing your hands) only in specific cases (repetitive tasks, handling raw/thawed foods, etc.). Gloves must be changed frequently because they can create a false sense of security and can breed bacteria if used incorrectly. Often, well-washed, bare hands are safer than poorly used gloves, but rigorous hygiene is key.

Food was tasty and James’s recommendations were on point. I enjoyed my spicy carbonara. Skewers could be more flavorful but overall everything was great. The staff was attentive, free Wifi is a big plus. Fast service.

A lovely restaurant in the heart of Messina, well-run by Mr. Giamboi. I've been here for dinner three times and the food has always been excellent. Open kitchen, attractive tables, and a good wine list.
