We went to this place for dinner last night. The place was nice, the food was excellent, and the owner was very friendly. Highly recommended.

Family-run trattoria: it offers quality dishes, exclusively fresh catch of the day, and generous portions. The location isn't the best, but everything else is top-notch.

The owner was very kind, but that doesn't change my opinion much: It's stated on the menu that it's a small family-run trattoria, and therefore the service is very slow, very slow.... but at least they can bring a bottle of water right away. We waited 25 minutes for a drink, another 20 for a small amount of bread, and in total, after 1 hour and 15 minutes, the appetizer arrived. Unfortunately, I didn't appreciate the taste of the appetizers; the first courses were extremely salty, and the "dips" were basically shared between the two entrees we ordered.... only the type of pasta and the fish (which, to be fair, was in just the right quantity for the asking price) differed. The semifreddo dessert, on the other hand, was "tuttofreddo" (all cold) and required a chisel. The price is in line with other restaurants in Porto Santo Stefano, so it's not particularly cheap either.

The food here was excellent and the service was impeccable. The gnocchi are handmade and really exceptional, the fish was very fresh and the house wine was also great. Would definitely come here again!

A traditional restaurant serving only the catch of the day (no frozen), selected each morning by Paolo, the owner. We particularly enjoyed the fried anchovies and the wonderful ricotta gnocchi with scampi. The homemade panna cotta, made without thickeners, and the mixed fried seafood were excellent, hot and plentiful. The atmosphere is authentic and friendly, something many places are losing. Thanks to Rosita, the chef, who was extremely considerate of my pregnant wife regarding the use of uncooked vegetables even before we requested them. Highly recommended for those who love authentic cuisine.
