In a city like Palermo, where the hustle and bustle never stops, these quiet corners that invite you to slow down are a welcome relief. Just steps from Quattro Canti, I found a simple terrace, right on the street, with that rustic, local feel that makes you feel more like a neighbor than a tourist. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the service is friendly. The young man who serves exudes the natural charm of someone who enjoys doing his job well. Here, the focus is on the aperitivo. The limoncello is perfectly poured, and the Spritzes, both the classic and the Aperol, are prepared with balance, without too much ice or alcohol, allowing each ingredient to shine. It's an honest place to pause, watch life go by in the historic center, and enjoy a good drink at your leisure.

The location is in the heart of Palermo, near the Piazza dei Quattro Fontana (Four Fountains Square). Hence the bar's name. It's essentially a small bar with a few tables outside. They have a very large selection of cocktails, with special offers for both takeaway and in-person dining. Takeaways are cheaper (from €4 to €6). They make everything quickly, use generous amounts of ingredients, and the cocktails are strong. However, the atmosphere around the bar is rather sparse, with a lot of beggars, as this is the city's most touristy center.

We stumbled upon 4 Canti Caffè by chance and were so glad we did. Although it's just off Palermo's main tourist area, it has a genuine local atmosphere and none of the pushy tactics you often find in busy tourist spots. The owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the start. We ended up returning every day during our 5-day stay to enjoy a delicious spritz, which was always very reasonably priced. The relaxed atmosphere and warm hospitality kept bringing us back.

We stopped by for a quick refreshment with some cold drinks. Friendly and pleasant atmosphere. You can often hear nice live music from the nearby square.

A spirit like no other, even for those like me who don't drink much alcohol, plus aesthetically pleasing details, right in the center of Palermo. If you're in the area, a must-see.
