Soft and chewy fried food, more like boiled than fried. Not quite right.

This place does a lot of things, and they do them all well. Excellent burgers, excellent sushi, and excellent pad thai. Reservations are recommended, especially on weekends.

The downtown location is nice, but comfort is another matter: the tables are very close together, and the chairs are so hard they seem designed specifically to make you vacate the table quickly. A legitimate business policy, of course, but comfort suffers. The "sushi + burger" deal is only half-hearted. The sushi we ordered was passable, but not up to par with other places in the city. On the other hand, the burgers being paraded to the other tables looked inviting, a sign that perhaps we ordered the wrong one. Prices are average. If there's a next time, it'll be for the burger (and with a pillow in my backpack).

I love the long table in front of the counter; it's very reminiscent of Japanese izakayas. The food is good, and the staff is incredibly friendly. It's a delight to spend time in a place like this!
