1848 Sandwiches & Delicious In Milano

A great place to eat. One of the waiters speaks Spanish and was very helpful, and the rest of the staff were also incredibly friendly. We ordered two burger combos, which were excellent. We also tried the "Menabrea" beer, which the waiter recommended. A very pleasant experience.

We stopped by chance while having an appointment nearby and were very pleased: delicious, hot sandwiches, friendly, smiling staff, and a tastefully decorated place. We left smiling: good value for money considering it's a Milanese place. We'll definitely be back.

We were welcomed for the first time into this colorful, bright, and family-friendly restaurant. We had booked brunch the day before and decided to opt for the seafood option. We immediately noticed the price difference compared to the online menu, which was only recently updated, coincidentally the same day we dined. Despite this, the value for money (€28.50 including cover charge) was definitely acceptable. The pancakes with maple syrup were delicious, and I particularly enjoyed the potato nuggets. Personally, I would have limited the portions a bit, perhaps omitting the fries, but overall I enjoyed the meal. Highly recommended, and I'd be curious to return, perhaps to try the burgers or for breakfast.

Yesterday we made a reservation for brunch (reservations recommended). We'd already looked at the menu prices on their website and saw that it was around €25. When we arrived, we found the place welcoming and colorful, and we saw that they'd already put the paper menu on the table. Brunch offers a choice of four menus: classic, fish, Americano, and veggie. We chose the fish menu and noticed that the prices had gone up and there were some differences in the food. They let you choose between cappuccino, espresso, and Americano. The latter and the juice arrive first. Otherwise, the dish is plentiful, well-made, and satisfying, with a wide selection of sweet and savory options. I'd recommend adding more sweet and savory sauces. We ended up paying €28.50 for the dish (pictured) (including the service). We've just noticed that they've updated the menu on the website. Recommended, and I'd return to try the others and for the portion size.

The atmosphere was very nice and welcoming, already in the Christmas spirit. We had an aperitif, and the drinks were excellent. You could choose the option with a small platter per person, including a drink, or the large platter for four people, with drinks included. We opted for the large platter, and it was very good.

Wonderful experience. Delightful little place, feels like Brooklyn. Very nice decor. Friendly waitress. And we ate very well: Smash Burger Menu with fries (good-quality burger meat and excellent, crispy fries) and a delicious Caesar Salad, with croutons and crispy bacon. We'll be back as soon as we can!

The smash burgers are really good, but small. From the promotional videos I saw on TikTok, they looked gigantic, but not quite... That doesn't mean they're not really good, especially the Smash Crispy. The decor is also nice, very simple and homey.
