Tuscan cuisine and more, with a rich and varied menu, offers many choices for every course, enriched by daily specials. Wonderful pici and a peposo among the best I've ever tasted, from Mugello to Maremma!! The perfect, bold, spicy flavor is balanced by the creaminess and enveloping flavor of the sauce that accompanies the excellent cut of meat, not fatty, but very tender. A skillfully balanced dish, at the pinnacle of excellence! Unforgettable, it does justice to this ancient dish and the location. Sincere compliments.

06/04/2026: A small pastry shop and artisanal ice cream shop in Siena: a few years ago, I stopped by chance during one of my first stops in Siena. Since then, it's been a regular stop every time I return to the city, both for the coffee and dessert and for the truly excellent artisanal ice cream! Highly recommended!

05/04/2026: Mint, hibiscus, and lemon basil waffle. Obscene, inedible. The combination is unpleasant to the palate, a pungent mix of grass and fruit. The whipped cream is machine-made and yellowish in color. Prices are outrageous. A small waffle costs €4, a large one €6.50, and the cream is paid separately. For those of us from Rome, like me, we know that gelato is something else entirely. Never again.

09/01/2026: We arrived somewhat by chance, unfamiliar with the place. We were surprised by the beautiful atmosphere. The staff is welcoming, kind, and professional. The food is truly excellent in every way; beauty and flavor go hand in hand, all accompanied by a small initial gift: a delicious savory cream puff, and superb focaccia and breadsticks! The dessert samples at the end are also truly excellent! And you won't leave hungry; that's also important. A wonderful experience!

05/01/2026: A delightful restaurant in a beautiful setting. The food is a bit more inventive than the more traditional Tuscan restaurants. The garden in summer is particularly special.

20/04/2026: Last stop on the Eroica before arriving in Gaiole. A lovely surprise! We had lunch with first courses and crostini; everything was carefully planned, and the kitchen did a fantastic job. The portions were perfect for those who, like us, need energy... The patio is right on the road, but you can still chat. Tip PS: The bathroom is a real gem ;-)

07/04/2026: Excellent, elevated homestyle cooking. The food is a fusion of Calabrian and local Tuscan cuisine. The front of house is very knowledgeable and does a great job and explaining the food and pairing with the perfect wine. Definitely worth the walk to experience this no matter where you are in Siena.

My friends recommended this restaurant to me, and I was very curious to try the dishes they explained to me, which were so tasteful and unique. I had a wonderful day and absolutely recommend it. 30/03/2026: Re di Macchia is exactly what you hope to find in a Tuscan hill town—an intimate, welcoming trattoria serving traditional dishes with real care. We really enjoyed the atmosphere. The restaurant is small and cozy, and the hospitality makes the whole experience feel personal. We had a reservation at opening, and had a chance to meet the owner. He was so authentic, and caring, which absolutely came through in the meals. We had 2 excellent meals. My wife had the mushroom lasagna, and it was excellent—rich, comforting, and clearly made with care. I went with the steak topped with Parmesan, which was perfectly cooked and incredibly tender, with just the right balance of flavor. This restaurant is a must do for anyone wanting an authentic, high-quality Tuscan food in a welcoming setting.

28/03/2026: Memorable meal in Montalcino at this family run restaurant. Excellent service, cozy ambiance and nostalgic food that left us with a smile on our face. We had the broccoli soufflé, eggplant parmigiana, steak, cannellini beans and tiramisu. Paired it all with a very delicious bottle of Brunello di Montalcino. Lovely meal at a place worth returning to.
