05/03/2024: King Arthur's tavern is located in the center of Pienza, open all the time. The menu consists of various local dishes. I recommend the stuffed bread croutons, we took the ones with lard and honey, bacon and pistachio cream and a third with ham and pecorino, nice big and tasty, accompanied by a mixed platter of Tuscan cheeses and cured meats. All these plus two glasses of wine we spent around 45 euros, let's say you pay a lot for the place and the 0 km raw materials. But all very good

In addition, there were no crowds, they have a beautiful patio and you can relax from the hustle and bustle of Pienza.

31/03/2024: Extremely authentic restaurant. It has 5 tables. Cared for by its owners. You can't reserve, but it's worth going and waiting for a table. The lasagna is really delicious, one of the best I've ever eaten. Also the cheeses are delicious.

Courteous and professional service, it's a shame that there was a bit of delay in the delivery of the dishes. Price above average.

04/04/2024: Small but very nice and welcoming place. Excellent choice between starters, first courses, burgers and meat. The lamb chop was divine. The sandwiches were delicious. The staff are super friendly and helpful. It feels like being at dinner with friends. Advised. (The top of the top... nutella or caramel cheesecake)

10/05/2024: Went in with high expectations given the good reviews. Homemade Pici I have great doubts, if not certainty that this is not the case, and more than a little they seemed bigoli to me. Very curdled cheese and pepper Ragu and fresh truffle with the latter without any flavor or smell, it tasted absolutely of nothing. Good starter, friendly owner.

06/05/2024: Wonderful Fiorentina! Most delicious cut of meat, grown locally. House wine comes from the vineyard at the end of the street. I had the most fantastic dining experience in this osteria and highly recommend. It’s exclusive, serves simple but sophisticated and excellent food, pure toscan cuisine, the quality of ingredients is insane! Recommend booking in advance. If you can get a glass of Spinello at the end, you’re very lucky. Thank you for a wonderful experience! Esra & Josh

25/05/2024: Authentic and simple place where you can find local cured meats and cheeses, you can choose between sandwiches and various platters accompanied by typical Tuscan wines. The price is honest; good place for a quick and simple lunch without pretensions. The only flaw is that there is no bathroom. Advised. The restaurant is located in the main street of Pienza.

01/06/2024: Lots of noise but little substance. We happen to find ourselves outside this restaurant that is so popular on social media. We order a cutting board, 2 croutons, 1 baked potato and 1 bottle of wine. Well what can I say, a €24 chopping board which is truly uncommentable for the quality of the things. The two croutons, by all accounts huge, nothing special but the potatoes... 1 paid 180g for €11! As they say a big package. €43 per person to eat in a place where the bread at the table was served by the waiters taken with the same hands with which they served the dishes, collected the dirty dishes, took the glasses and touched money. €43 each for 4 potato wedges each. To never again The wine was good

11/05/2024: Little jewellery - both restaurant and the Monticchiello village. Good food with a selection of 600 wine labels available. Best ricotta flan ever had. Great staff, the sommelier has a solid knowledge not only on Tuscan wines but as well he knows to compare with world wines. Stunning location as well.

29/04/2024: Finalmente dopo diversi tentativi siamo riusciti a cenare in questo bellissimo ristorante proprio all'ingresso di Montichiello, borgo meraviglioso!. Accoglienza perfetta e cibo oltre ogni aspettativa in quanto si ha la possibilità di mangiare cibo della tradizione con qualche nota di modernità. Servizio eccellente e ambiente confortevole. Complimenti!
