06/02/2026: I've been going to Poppy's for years, and I can honestly say it's my favorite gourmet pizzeria (and I've tried many). You don't just go to Poppy's for pizza; it's a truly extraordinary culinary experience, one of those unforgettable ones. The attention to detail is absolute, the flavors are unique, and the products have a quality that can't be explained in words. As if that weren't enough, the staff is wonderful, the place is very cute and well-kept; it's impossible to find a flaw. ❤️

19/01/2026: Gambero Rosso 2-slice pizzeria. Very friendly staff, with a helpful and courteous waitress. There were four of us and we ordered four pizzas (truffle, San Salvatore, cinghialotta, vegan), one buffalo burrata, four beers, three desserts (one Atto Secondo Mango and two Como una Cuba), two rum shots, one still water, and one coffee. Bill: €136.20 (€34 each). Atto Secondo Mango: White chocolate egg with mango filling. Como una Cuba: Chocolate cigar, coated in bitter cocoa and filled with tiramisu cream. It arrives at the table under a smoked glass dome, accompanied by a rum shot. Dipping it in rum faithfully reproduces the experience of a real cigar. Special mention for the truffle and the Como una Cuba. Passed.

20/02/2026: This exceeded expectations. The menu di giorno seemed expensive at 39 euro at lunch but the quality of the food was excellent. Best meal I have had this year in Sardinia. Wine and a litre of water and no cover charge No other tourists here just locals which is also a good sign. A must visit place if you like fish. The aperetivo with three different dishes was exceptional.

A truly pleasant surprise awaited us with an excellent first course: truly delicious homemade culurgiones, followed by a trio of cheeses accompanied by spicy jams. The service was prompt, with pleasant explanations and excellent recommendations on what to order. Thank you for your hospitality.

18/02/2026: On the way home, we came across this open place; we stopped for a quick bite, and it surprised us! The space is spacious, bright, and well-maintained. There's an outdoor area for summer lunches. The menu is limited due to the season, but the first courses are excellent! Fast and accurate service, the bill is more than reasonable. Recommended.

Numerous appetizers, three first courses, two second courses with sides, dessert, and complimentary myrtle liqueur. Typical Sardinian cuisine. The person who served us was very kind. They then drove us to our B&B because we didn't have a car. Highly recommended.

14/11/2025: Very nice place for lunch. Had classic spaghetti carbonara and it was perfect. Spaghetti vongale was also delicious. Tiramisu was also very nice.

22/12/2025: During a motorcycle trip to Sardinia, we ended up in the city of Carbonia and thus at the Lu Hotel. We booked through the lovely Laura F. at the Euro Hotel in Nuoro, as nothing was available online. A phone call allowed us to book two beautiful, large rooms with a terrace on the top floor. They were definitely luxury rooms, not standard. The price reflected this. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the free, large underground parking garage was a real plus. It provided secure parking for our motorcycles. The breakfast offered a wide selection, and everything was always well-stocked. We didn't use the spa or the swimming pool. The "city center" is a 15-minute walk away. There isn't much to see or explore. It's important to know that Carbonia isn't one of the typical old Italian cities. It was built sometime in the 1930s. The name Carbonia comes from the coal and iron ore mining industry. I can recommend the Lu Hotel. Whether one should visit the city of Carbonia itself is another matter entirely.

07/12/2025: The hotel is in a town called Carbonia, 15 min from the sea. Rooms are good,hotel is modern and breakfast is great. The town it self is not very interesting.
