03/03/2026: It's a very "low-key" trattoria, but the food is good and cheap. Ideal for business lunches. Excellent food, friendly staff, and reasonable prices. The place is a bit American-esque, but bearable... let's just say it has a strong character ;-)

08/02/2026: The atmosphere is overly Americanized, with a portrait of John Wayne, buffalo horns on the fireplace, and pseudo-American license plates here and there. The space isn't very large, the restrooms were clean, and the service was consistent with the type of establishment. We tried six different starters, all good; the house appetizer, which apparently is brought to the table even if you don't ask for it, was also good, although the pork loin was very salty; and a mixed grill with baked potatoes (the rum-baked lamb was good, but the sausage was very salty). Not everyone ordered dessert and coffee. So far, the positives. Let's move on to the negatives: there's no menu—the menu is announced verbally—so there's no price list. When paying, I ask the standard "how much is it?" Given that I have poor hearing in one ear, the amount was requested from the part of the room I can hear well, and I think I understood it to be 160/170. Then I presented my debit card and saw that an authorization was requested for 230, and the receipt only showed the total, with no distinction between the prices applied. Having guests in tow, I didn't want to ruin my day by making a fuss about the price charged and the price asked (I'm a little blind but not completely stupid), but it's not business-friendly behavior not to present a price list and not to submit a detailed bill, which, by the way, seems excessive for a farmhouse with a fixed-price lunch menu of €15, from appetizer to coffee. An experience not to be repeated; form and correctness are also essential, not just the food. Furthermore, unless I'm mistaken, I don't recall having seen the menu and price list outside, which are required by law. I understand we're in the foggy lands of the lowlands, but there's a limit to everything. Among other things, several people have complained about the bill, the lack of transparency, and the cyclical malfunctions of the POS. |||||||| For these reasons, you can understand the discrepancies between the overall assessment and individual reviews.
