14/11/2023: At the risk of sounding a bit crazy, after several days in Italy, my wife and I needed something other than typical Italian fare. What happened next when encountering Cloud 59 was completly unexpected and a very plesant surprise. Not only did we find fantatistic food in the form of chicken, burgers and fries which I had little hope for, the burger and fries I had ranked amongst the very best I have ever had, anywhere. The charming and quaint atmosphere was perfect, with great service, and a passionate owner who is just an great guy all around. We were very fortunate to get to meet Alex, and learn about his business and journey due to it being late and in the "off" season. Do yourself a favor If you are in Florence and need a break from pasta and pizza, or just flat want an amazing burger or traditional style American chicken dish, absolutely look no further and check out Cloud 59. In a very saturated Florence restaurant scene they have been around for several years now and for very good reason. We have great wines, lemon pepper chicken, and truffled burger. The Cloud 59 sauce is amazing as well. The fires were cooked and seasoned perfectly. And all at very reasonable and affordable prices. Couldn't find a single thing to complain about which is very rare today in the culinary seen. So fortunate to have stumbled upon this gem this evening.
