05/10/2025: Welcoming and clean. Family-run restaurant; everyone is very friendly. The offal and cheeses among the appetizers are unsurpassed and plentiful.
The first courses are excellent: mezze maniche alla matriciana and gnocchi a coda de sorica alla gricia with fresh truffle shavings, all with unsurpassable and generous seasoning!... I've never tasted truffle like this! The classic tagliata for the main course was a bit spicy, but flavorful. To finish, two delicious coffees. Average price. We'll definitely be back!
01/10/2025: La Vecchia Osteria is a welcoming, family-friendly place where you can experience authentic traditional cuisine. The dishes are generous, tasty, and excellent value. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is simple yet warm. Highly recommended for those seeking authenticity and genuine flavors.

10/08/2025: On a day trip from Rome today we visit Genazzano...our curiosity was all focused on lunch, were we right to choose the most popular but unusual brand among the options? I've read something from my fellow advisors and I think I'm pretty calm,...but!! We arrived slightly early, we were greeted by a wonderful girl, very kind and welcoming, who showed us to our table, with a minimal but elegant mise en place, a splendid turmeric flower embellished the table, we registered on the wi-fi and scanned the QR code on the neck of the flower holder. I was immediately struck and intrigued by the 63° egg carbonara with pecorino and guanciale, but also by the trio of fried foods, what could be better for an entrée? For which we ordered two and a chickpea and calamari hummus. The wine list is fantastically mile-perfect. 0, I was surprised by the ones on display, but luckily I can't find them on the menu, we choose a nice structured white, 14°, from 2018, Follia, Cantina Piana dei Castelli, a blend of Grechetto, Malvasia Puntinata, Sauvignon Blanc and Trebbiano which immediately turns out to be an excellent choice, well done me, ahahahah! After a good welcome flute, Mio Niè, a charmat of Cesanesi grapes, the potato chips arrived, nice and crunchy and scented with lime, delicious, followed by a prawn wrapped in a crunchy breading, very delicate and not at all greasy with its beautiful pink sauce, very well presented and served on a brick, very delicate and very fresh, tender inside and super crunchy outside, then follows a fried cheese also wrapped in a nice crunchy breading, even the chickpea and calamari hummus looked beautiful, too bad I hate garlic, but my guests love it, but the best of the appetizers in my opinion was the 63° egg carbonaro, a carbonara without pasta, a bed of pecorino cream with a dormant egg that wakes up when cut, releasing its perfectly cooked yolk, accompanied by the crunch of the guanciale, so delicious, I would immediately order another, but we also want to try the first courses, oh well! As for my first course, I have no doubts. Stuffed pasta, if done well, is very tasty. So, I chose the cacciatore-style beef tortelli with rosemary, a riot of flavors with a lovely lingering scent of rosemary, which I love. The filling was perhaps slightly dry, but truly succulent. My wife and her friend chose the tagliolini with courgette flowers, anchovies, and burrata. I let my wife get me involved and tried them even though it was present. The garlic wasn't overpowering, and the burrata made the dish delicate and very well-structured, which was already a success in itself. Our friend, on the other hand, chose the soy and raw prawn risotto, a very well-prepared seafood dish with top-quality ingredients. Congratulations! How to continue such a flavorful lunch? This time we'll skip the main course, but dessert is a must if you want to understand the Chef's skill. I'll have the Maksysù, a tiramisu made by the Chef with sponge cake syrup, truly delicious. Then there's the surprise dessert, a shortcrust pastry tart with seasonal fruit Chantilly cream, beautifully presented, delicious, and then an excellent coffee. We meet Masha, the Chef and owner of the restaurant at the end of the lunch. She's a very young, friendly, and beautiful woman who has chosen to stay in Genazzano and offer her young, yet tradition-conscious, fresh, and innovative cuisine. Her remarkable skills are showcased in the dishes she offers with love and professionalism. If I could, I'd add one star to the five I'd give her for her courage in staying in a village in the Roman province and putting herself to the test, and the second for the happiness that shines through her eyes when she sees us satisfied with having appreciated the product of her fascinating work. Well done, I've already started following you on social media with great pleasure! Congratulations and see you next time, maybe for a romantic evening?!?! Hugs!

28/10/2025: What can we say about Antica Osteria Terremoto?
Located right on the square, parking is impossible, unless you're very far away or tolerated right along the road in front.
A beautiful place, located right on a valley that you can enjoy from the terrace tables.
Unfortunately, it's clear that the tables have been arranged to fit as many as possible, all packed together. When seated, you're practically back-to-back with the person sitting behind you. This obviously creates unimaginable confusion, and it's a very noisy place.
We enter and are greeted by no one. We stand for a few minutes at the entrance, and then a young man comes over and jokingly says, "Come on, I'll do it for you, otherwise you just stand there." We tell him the name of our reservation, and he shows us to our table.
We wait about 10 minutes, and then the waiter/owner arrives—I didn't quite catch who he was—and verbally explains the menu to us.
We choose and wait a whopping 40 minutes without even being brought some bread. The first courses arrive, and thankfully, that one, at least, is DELICIOUS. We eat with satisfaction and wait another 10 minutes or so for the second courses, which are also EXCELLENT. I can honestly recommend the rabbit cacciatore.
The house wine, drinkable for a lunch with friends, was also delicious.
The price was fair for what we ate.
It's a real shame the place is so crowded because the food is truly good.
I don't know if we'll return, but probably during the week, to enjoy a good meal at a fair price, with a beautiful view.

06/01/2025: Comoda da raggiungere con parcheggio a pochi mt. Locale caratteristico, panoramico e molto accogliente. Dopo un piccolo antipasto abbiamo scelto i primi. Pasta rigorosamente fatta in casa con condimenti gustosi. (buonissimi i ravioli e gli gnocchi). Materie prime di qualità per piatti della tradizione (consigliati anche i contorni, cicoria, peperoni e carciofi). Complimenti.
22/12/2024: Una buona osteria tipica dell'agro romano dove si possono gustare piatti tipici dai prezzi senz'altro assai contenuti: gnocchi lunghi a "coa de soreca" (una tipicità della zona), ravioli alla crema di noci, buone bistecche, salsicce in umido con fagioli, deliziosi carciofi alla romana. Servizio abbastanza veloce anche con locale quasi del tutto pieno.

Non aggiungo altro se non l’imbarazzo del cameriere nel proporci due spaghettini alle vongole al volo….
17/04/2024: È la terza volta che ci vado, essendo in zona per lavoro. La gestione è famigliare, con servizio amichevole, ma mai invadente. Ho mangiato innanzitutto i carciofi (alla giudia, fritti e alla romana): per trovarli buoni così si deve fare un’ora di macchina: o al ghetto di Roma oppure a Sezze. I primi: fettuccine ai funghi porcini e carbonara, ottimi; gli gnocchi di patate “non plus ultra”. Il vino della cantina Martino è anch’esso ottimo (sia bianco che rosso) ed anche a buon mercato. Infine i diversi dessert sono tutti assolutamente gradevoli, specie la crostata. Se non volete gustare i biscotti fatti in casa, almeno prendete un caffè: da far invidia a moltissimi bar stellari del centro di Roma! Infine sottolineo che - se lo stile dell’arredamento può sembrare un po’ datato - il ristorante, le tavole apparecchiate a dovere ed anche la toilette sono pulitissime e profumate. Complimenti!
