02/03/2026: The place is very small and basic, but that's where the flaws end. Excellent traditional Lazio food, very well cooked and made with quality ingredients. The appetizers are varied, including cold cuts, cheeses, tripe, liver, and chickpeas. The half-portion is generous. They also bring two tastings with the half-portion. I had ricotta and spinach ravioli with tomato sauce. To finish, homemade baked goods. Everything was excellent, and I'll definitely return. Kudos to Rosy, but also to the village of Capranica, which is worth a visit.
01/03/2026: We went yesterday for a birthday and the food was truly excellent! Everything was delicious, and the place was super cozy. The owner was very kind and attentive! I 100% recommend this place.

01/03/2026: We had lunch on a Sunday with friends. We ate everything, starting with the appetizer, followed by the first courses, the second courses, and the dessert.
The appetizer was good and complete, with ricotta with honey, beans and pork rind, sun-dried tomatoes in oil, artichokes, bruschetta, and more.
The first courses were good, both the hare sauce and the fettuccine with porcini mushrooms, and the polenta as well. For the second courses, we had mixed roast beef and lamb, both well-cooked and delicious. The chicory and potatoes were good. The Black Forest cake and wine donuts were excellent.
The house wine was also good.
Price was around €30 per person. Recommended. The family atmosphere was very friendly.

13/09/2025: We ate wonderfully, both first and second courses for lunch, and pizza in the evening.
The first courses were incredibly generous and delicious, all homemade.
The meat was excellent!
The pizza was gigantic, thin, and crunchy!
I highly recommend it.

01/06/2025: Buon pomeriggio. Volevamo ringraziare il Ristorante Romano per la sua ospitalità. Dopo un po' di anni siamo ritornati qui. Eravamo passati stamattina per prenotare un tavolo per due a pranzo. Gianfranco e Serena disponibilissimi e sorridenti ci hanno confermato il tavolo. Lorenzo, l'altro cameriere, si è messo a disposizione per la comanda. Ci siamo sentiti coccolati. Cibo di buona fattura e prezzo giusto. Grazie e arrivederci a presto. Raffaele e Antonella
19/05/2025: Domenica 11 maggio, dopo un bel giro in mountain bike, ci siamo fermati a pranzo all’Osteria da Romano a Capranica Prenestina: eravamo io, mio figlio e un amico. È stata una scelta perfetta. Il locale ha subito trasmesso un senso di familiarità, con quell’atmosfera rustica e accogliente che ti fa sentire subito a casa.
La cucina è stata una vera scoperta: spontanea, tradizionale, senza fronzoli ma ricca di gusto. Abbiamo apprezzato la qualità degli ingredienti e le porzioni generose, perfette per recuperare le energie dopo la fatica. Ogni piatto, dal tagliere di affettati e formaggio ai primi abbondanti di fettuccine, raccontava una storia di genuinità e passione.
Il servizio è stato caloroso e cortese, il che ha reso l’esperienza ancora più piacevole. Pranzare in un contesto simile, con il panorama dei monti Prenestini a fare da cornice, ha dato un sapore ancora più speciale alla giornata.
In sintesi, un luogo sincero, che il desiderio di tornare. Consigliato!

17/07/2025: Il bar in piazza come una volta. Simpatica e rilassata atmosfera di pomeriggio estivo (comprensiva di una piccola orchestra di organetti che faceva le prove, con sottofondo delle chiacchiere di paese). Gelato artigianale come si deve. Ottimi spritz, accompagnati da gustosi stuzzichini. Il proprietario, accogliente e cordiale, ci ha anche dato un assaggio extra delle “mosciarelle” locali.
