But what was annoying was that we ordered one side dish each, asking if we could split it between two items from what they had available... 'No problem,' the lady said. It's a shame they ended up charging us for two side dishes each; 10 euros each for a small plate of potatoes from a bag and two artichokes seems excessive to me. Then put this detail on the receipt... they only listed the total amount, perhaps to try to hide the above a bit. A tourist-plundering place, not recommended.

23/07/2025: Excellent hotel and restaurant for a pleasant stop in Anagni. The hotel has very spacious, clean, and pleasantly furnished rooms. The breakfast is excellent. In a very refined setting, the restaurant offers expertly prepared meat and fish dishes. All the staff are extremely friendly and attentive to their guests. Good value for money.

P.S.: After reading the restaurant owner's response (or whoever), I further lowered my rating from 2 to 1 star but instead gave it a solid ZERO for his arrogance. (I feel I'm entitled to a response that I share with users.) All my reviews are the same!!! Are you kidding? 😁🤦 First of all, reviews are written to give an opinion, but above all, to give an objective opinion of how one experienced a restaurant, and also to advise both customers and restaurant owners. Especially the "intelligent" restaurant owners who, instead of arguing, try to understand why the customer left unsatisfied. If I were you, I'd "worry" about the praise instead 😁😁 and I'd say that this snide comment reflects your inability to properly manage a place. You're counting on the NON-reaction (and review) of dissatisfied customers passing by. You've got it wrong. Oh yes, I also see good ratings on TripAdvisor 🤣 my mistake was not following the advice. And given the dissatisfaction of other customers, why not advise them to stay home and not go out as you advised me? 😳 Be HUMBLE and be self-critical, otherwise you'll change jobs.
