31/10/2025: I may be a little biased due to my friendship with Giuseppe and his entire family, but I can assure you that both the dough (made at least 48 hours) and the mix of flours used are truly excellent. They digest quickly and well (no need to wake up early in the morning), the toppings are always fresh and high-quality (after all, nothing is left in the pantry for the sale they have) and, most importantly (the owner's pride and joy), they are affordable for everyone!

14/09/2025: Today the lasagna wasn't good, usually I eat well, I'm sorry because I've been going there for a long time and it's strange that they served a pasta so full of oil and cream 😮💨
22/08/2025: Fast service, generous portions, reasonable prices (a main course with side dish is €8, arancini for €2), and excellent quality products. This is evidenced by the large number of locals who order takeout.
The place is clean and well-organized. There's no table service, but for a deli, it's more than adequate.

25/11/2025: Unfortunately, my experience wasn't a positive one.
We had booked through TheFork at "Lavica," but when we arrived, we found it closed, with a chalkboard indicating we should move to another adjacent restaurant. The first detail is already a bit perplexing.
The place was dimly lit, which didn't help create a pleasant atmosphere.
We ordered draft beers; the red one was slightly vinegary, the lagers a bit flat, but still drinkable.
For our appetizer, we ordered a selection of "porchetta di Ariccia," but what arrived was a platter of very cold cured meats straight from the fridge, with a few additions on top. It really didn't take much to make it a more refined dish... Next up were chicken wings and legs: overall flavorless, and a couple had a strange taste that led us to leave them on the plate.
On the plus side, I ordered the pizzolo, which was good (nothing exceptional, but pleasant). I also tried my friend's pinsa, which was good. Overall, the experience wasn't convincing. I don't think we'll return, at least not under these circumstances.

09/09/2025: We stopped in on our first night in Catania. I ordered a calzone with mortadella and my partner had a pizza. Both were delicious! The calzone was huge for 11€, I ended up taking the rest home and eating it the next day. Highly recommend!
08/09/2025: A delightful place, with attention to every detail, excellent cuisine but exorbitant prices (e.g., 4 euro cover charge per person) and very little availability or kindness from the chef or owner.

16/06/2024: Di passaggio in questa località, abbiamo preso su consiglio di persone del luogo sia pasticceria che gastronomia... tutto ottimo specialmente la pasticceria, cornetto tutto molto speciale, abbiamo preso arancini da portare via...per casa e condividere queste prelibatezze con il resto della famiglia , al ragù... a me personalmente son piaciuti.. ma non ci hanno avvisato che nell'arancino al ragù ci fosse anche l'uovo... di solito non c'è, o almeno non mi è mai capitato... e... ci sono persone che l'uovo..non lo tollerano... a saperlo avremmo optato anche per altri gusti...bastava dirlo...
28/04/2024: Un Peccato.....luogo ove ancora la tradizione Dolciaria è vera,speciale per colazione,prodotti alla Mandorla e rosticceria....ove l'Arancino è veramente superiore......ma il Servizio?Oltre la Signora alla Cassa cortese ed attenta,il Personale da banco stanco, raffazzonato.......assente,come se non fossero pagati dalla Ditta.....mai prego o grazie!Non si accoglie così la clientela!

24/02/2025: Nonostante le recensioni negative, sono rimasto soddisfatto da tutto.
Il personale è stato gentile, educato, e disponibile.
Abbiamo mangiato la pizza e ci è piaciuta (ci tornerò volentieri) che è possibile scegliere anche tra diversi impasti.

17/01/2025: Ci sono stato diverse volte.
Sia di sera che durante la giornata.
Ho sempre preso tavola calda quindi il mio giudizio si riferisce solo a questo settore.
Di sera ho trovato un buon assortimento anche se nonostante la raccomandazione di scaldare i prodotti non lo erano a dovere.
Meglio l'ultima volta di domenica a pranzo.
Ottima la bomba fritta con prosciutto e formaggio.
Questa volta il servizio è stato migliore.
