Kuaizi
Palermo
12/03/2026: I was there to celebrate Chinese New Year 2026! It was the only restaurant in Palermo that claimed to have the dish I wanted: Peking Duck.
The service was very friendly and efficient.
Unfortunately, the dish, while tasty, wasn't the original.
I plan to return to try other options on the menu!
08/03/2026: No need to book, they'll make you wait anyway

Aiko Sushi Restaurant
Palermo
04/12/2025: Intimate atmosphere, very friendly staff, exceptional food! Freshly made, high-quality dishes. A wonderful experience.
22/11/2025: Intrigued by the excellent reviews and while traveling in Palermo, we decided to try this sushi place.
We highly recommend it! Everything was excellent and high-quality, freshly prepared, and the staff were friendly and attentive. They also offered a welcome prosecco and a wine tasting.
Good selection of wines... we recommend!!
We ordered a 60-piece chef's selection for two. Exceptional!

Sakura Japanese restaurant
Palermo
09/02/2026: Hygiene is zero, cats everywhere, not to mention cat pee on the wall.
The food is decent, but eating in these conditions is unthinkable.
Avoid.
04/02/2026: Even though the place was packed, the service was impeccable. The food was excellent and I'll definitely be back.

Zanga Sushi e Wok
Palermo
11/02/2026: I would have given it 5/5 if it weren't for the constant menu changes, which unfortunately make the experience inconsistent over time.
I've always been loyal to a specific 64-piece sushi combo with a bottle of wine (Charme Bianco). Initially, the bottle was replaced with a lower-quality one, then—perhaps due to poor reception—the offer was reinstated. Subsequently, a €2 cover charge was added, and finally, the combo was permanently removed from the menu.
It's truly a shame, because the quality of the sushi is excellent and the staff is always impeccable, helpful, and kind.
I hope that in the future, a better balance will be found on the menu and that the offer will be available again.
25/01/2026: Everything was delicious. The tuna burger was amazing, the salmon tartare was very fresh.

04/09/2025: I'm sorry but it smells so bad and eating is just as bad
28/08/2025: Very good food, never had any problems. The sushi is just the right size without the unpleasant feeling of a full mouth.

Gohan Ristorante Giapponese
Palermo
15/01/2026: I visited this place yesterday and, unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. Upon entering, there was a strong smell of disinfectant, which immediately raised my suspicions. The sushi was flavorless: the salmon was bland, the fish roe was indistinct, and even the Pringles tacos (which usually have a strong flavor) were bland. The overall quality seems low. I won't be returning; there are much better options in Palermo.
11/01/2026: I've been there twice: this week and last summer.
Last time, the fish was good, but some pieces were greasy and hard to chew. However, I tried the chicken bao and it was very good. There was a strong smell of disinfectant.
This time, however, the smell was milder, but still present. I'm not a fan of raw fish, but the first thing I tried was a nigiri. It tasted like cheese, as if a spoonful of Parmesan had fallen under the fish. Honestly, I didn't want to try anything else (raw), but there were about ten of us. I was the only one who noticed this problem (and my boyfriend too when I pointed it out to him), and everyone ate a lot. And we're all alive, for now.
So, I don't know.

Naka - Lounge Restaurant
Cefalù
13/09/2025: Asian restaurant with a view of Cefalù Cathedral, friendly staff, excellent service, and delicious food. It's not your typical all-you-can-eat restaurant; the menu is à la carte, and the dishes are well-prepared.
03/08/2025: I'm trying again after two years.
Thanks to Marco Larosa, last night my husband and I spent a wonderful evening in a very evocative location, with excellent dishes made with top-quality ingredients, expertly prepared by expert hands.
You're wondering where?
All this at the Naka Restaurant, drinks & sushi with Mediterranean cuisine, right at the foot of Her Majesty the Cathedral.
You can dine both inside and outside: we opted for the outside.
The place is truly refined, very elegant. The table setting is very minimal, but with very refined touches, from the lamp to the metal chopsticks. Not to mention the real gem that really makes a difference these days...the champagne served in its 1920s-style glass. Truly remarkable!!
(Enough with champagne served in a Prosecco flute... here at Naka, class is not water 😉.)
Let's get to the food: the menu is well-described, divided into two lists for sushi and Mediterranean dishes.
We opted for sushi; I don't remember the names of the dishes, but with sea urchins, Mazzara red shrimp, truffle, tuna, salmon...seaweed, and the excellent rice, it was a true taste experience, and each piece was an explosion of distinct flavors that blended divinely.
In short, Naka confirms itself as a top place to return to again and again with great pleasure and the certainty of not being disappointed. The wait staff is attentive, discreet, and present, but never intrusive.
Marco Larosa is an excellent host, always smiling and kind, ready to satisfy every desire.
The price is absolutely in line with what Naka offers.

Shao Sushi
Palermo
31/05/2024: I found things in the restaurant that I had never seen in other restaurants, novelties compared to classic sushi, and I am a serial eater of typical Chinese cuisine. If you want to understand the real Chinese culture and immerse yourself in their traditions, such as karaoke, then you must come here at least once. Dishes never tasted before, tasty, delicate, unexpectedly unique.
13/05/2024: We left because they didn't have gluten free soy sauce and the waiter didn't know what it was 🤦🏻♀️
