11/01/2026: Excellent little restaurant. The space is a bit cramped, but the food is average, with peaks being excellent. Quick and courteous service is provided by the owner, who is friendly and attentive to his customers' needs.
06/01/2026: We ate very well, the paccheri and the appetizer were good, the staff were kind and the manager was very friendly.

08/03/2026: Beautiful, new hotel very close to the highway toll booth. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very good restaurant. It's a shame about the windows in the rooms, at least on the third floor. These should be superior rooms. The single, tilt-and-turn window opens only on the upper part of the wall. Quite claustrophobic, for me...

29/11/2025: Excellent gelato shop, made with quality ingredients in rich, flavorful flavors. This is the bar on Viale Roma, which has always been there for decades. The breakfast pastries are also excellent.

I took my wife and kids there for lunch, and it turned out to be one of the most genuine meals we’ve had. The food was so authentic that my wife actually got emotional—it reminded her of the dishes her mother used to make.
The setting is beautiful and tranquil, surrounded by rolling hills and the charm of rural Italy. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with hosts who clearly care about sharing their traditions and making guests feel at home.
Every dish we tried was packed with authentic flavor and made with fresh local ingredients—simple, traditional cooking that speaks to the soul. It’s the kind of place where you slow down, eat well, and leave feeling deeply satisfied.

18/02/2026: We stayed at the Hotel San Nicola, which recommended this traditional inn to us. Located in Lagonegro, it's warm and welcoming. Traditional specialties and home-cooked food. Low prices and generous portions. For two appetizers, a first course, a second course, four pizzas, chips, water, Coke, and wine for six, we spent €65. The pizzas were really good, as were the first and second courses. A definite stop if we're ever in the area again.
15/02/2026: This is the second year we've returned as a group to Lagonegro during this time, and Locanda da Federico has remained the same. A welcoming trattoria with an old-fashioned feel. The menu varies based on the availability of ingredients, and the pizza is made with excellent dough and fresh, local ingredients. For us, it remains a permanent and permanent spot for our outings in Basilicata. Suitable for everyone, from families with children to couples and groups.

24/12/2025: I haven't visited the rooms so I can't comment. As for the food, it's definitely worth trying. Everything is excellent, reasonably priced, and the service is attentive and courteous. I've been there several times and will definitely return.
21/12/2025: We just had dinner. The owner was very welcoming, the service was good, the food was good, and the price was fair. I recommend it.

Aside from that, I was very helpful and kind. The takeout pizza was good and crustless, just how I like it.

04/08/2025: Avevamo tante aspettative (vista la puntata di Camionisti in Trattoria), e a parte i prezzi non proprio come descritti nel programma, delusione per il cibo, il tiramisù immangiabile!
29/07/2025: In viaggio da Roma a Messina mi sono fermata a pranzare in questa trattoria all uscita di lagonegro nord. Posto caratteristico, ottima cucina casalinga con specialità tipiche del posto, servizio veloce e cortese, prezzi economici e mi hanno anche offerto caffè e amaro!

23/09/2023: Perfetto per una serata informale in un’atmosfera semplice ed accogliente. Abbiamo provato le pucce e le patate “paesane” (speciali !!) , tutto buonissimo ! Si percepisce la ricerca di ingredienti di ottima qualità ed il personale é gentile e rapido :) consigliato !
