23/03/2025: Very nice location, discreet table service, food not bad but poor.... we went there on a Sunday for lunch where there was also entertainment for children. The room was packed, the entertainment was not received and in any case included in the final bill. adult menu €35 excluding drinks too high and not even two pieces of tart or donut at the end of the meal. so I failed. I'm at home

10/04/2025: Let's start with the negative aspects. An old-fashioned place, and not at all close to what could be defined as a restaurant, it looks more like a 70s bar lounge and the service is just barely adequate. But at the end of the day, you go to a restaurant to eat and the quality of the food is truly excellent! The dishes are also abundant and you don't expect it! I will definitely go back.

“Da Thomas” restaurant is truly a place to eat very well! Exquisite fish dinner with attentive and precise service. Don't miss the "potted vegetable garden" dessert because as well as being a delicious dessert it is really well presented.
A tip: book in advance because it is always full!

02/03/2025: I am very sorry to leave this review but given the gravity (in my opinion) of the situation created, I consider it necessary. Severity that I evaluate on the basis of the feeling of discomfort and embarrassment with which we left the place.
This late afternoon I was with two friends and together we decided to stop for a drink.
It wasn't the first time at Yerbabuena, it's a place we often take into consideration and that's perhaps also why I was doubly disappointed and sorry.
6.30pm we asked if there was room for three people and they immediately seated us, warning us, however, that the table would only be available until 7.15pm.
(It wasn't a problem for us, we just wanted to have something to drink, enjoy the atmosphere and be in good company.)
7.40pm the waitress comes to take the order: a coffee and a coke.
Already at the mention of coffee he makes a face and after an initial hesitation he tells us that they don't serve coffee at that time. So we decide on two cokes.
The unwell waitress tells us that she could not leave the table for us unless we had consumed (food).
So we replied that she herself had told us that the table was free until 7.15pm.
On the other hand we hear the reply with a smug and annoyed air 'frankly, I'd rather seat 4 people who spend 15 euros each instead of you' followed by a series of excuses which, honestly, I struggle to consider sincere.
Given that no one had warned us of an 'obligation' to consume, given that it is understandable that they want to optimize the spaces and please everyone, given that one of us was not consuming; I believe there are ways and means to suggest a different solution to a customer. Assuming that, if we had consumed food, would they have been able to serve us in half an hour, or would we have had to stuff ourselves and race against time?
We left the place instantly, without consuming and completely astonished.
They could have warned us before, they could have said it with courtesy and grace, they could have made us move to the counter, they could have handled the matter with greater kindness and diplomacy and instead they chose rudeness.
I am very sorry
It might seem like a small thing but I believe that not making your customers feel welcome and making them feel uncomfortable and embarrassed is the last thing that a restaurant or managers and whoever they should do to their customers.
The customer is not always right but respect and kindness must be guaranteed by both parties, always.

20/02/2025: Lunch on the go fixed menu 13 euros without wine and coffee..
The food wasn't much, the frying was very greasy and with a few charred vegetables even if there was some fish, the first sedanini or boscaiola or very anonymous calamari
Cabbage side dish not decent.

16/03/2025: Ennesimo pranzo da Gher in famiglia , piuttosto deludente e con imperfezioni nelle portate ( una pietanza di pesce piuttosto salata e troppo asciutta e secco per essere pesce azzurro grigliato , forse cotto leggermente troppo ? ) , ma poi due contorni di verdure cotte salatissimi e non mangiabili ( un errore può capitare …ok)
Cameriere gentilmente ci comunica che verranno stralciati dal conto ma una volta pagato me li ritrovo in scontrino regolamente pagati . Verifica fatta già sulla via del ritorno …
01/01/2025: Siamo tornati dopo tanti anni con il ricordo di aver mangiato pesce fresco, buono, senza tanti orpelli ed un servizio basico. Siamo partiti con una minestra di quadretti e sogliole: quadretti non erano, ma tagliolini spezzettati a caso, quasi inesistenti in una quantità di brodo esagerata, pochissimi i pezzetti di sogliola. Il sapore era buono ma certamente ad un prezzo esorbitante (20€.) .
Anche il prezzo della grigliata, buona, ( 35 €.) non corrispondeva, secondo noi, alla quantità servita.
Il servizio molto frettoloso e poco professionale e da ultimo il bagno senza luce ( si erano dimenticati di accenderla) e ovviamente poco pulito. Ci dispiace, perché la location è splendida, ma non torneremo più.

13/02/2025: We've been coming to eat at this OWW since it opened a bunch of years ago and have watched it get worse and worse. I would say that last night - Wednesday 12 February - we hit rock bottom.
Having bought tickets for the 8.30pm to 7.25pm cinema, we sit in a fairly full restaurant. Next to us, another couple who have already been sitting for a while are consulting the menu. There appear to be only two waiters, who then become one, because the girl suddenly disappears. The boy walks around us, takes other orders, talks at the counter, serves drinks and other dishes but we and the other couple next to us are ignored. She starts waving, calling him, but nothing. My friend, who was facing the room, also tries. Nothing.
At 7.50pm, now resigned, we got up and left, just like the neighboring couple.
The terrible thing was that no one - including these phantom waiters, the steward and those at the cash register - noticed.
Regardless of the fact that with such carelessness there are people who could eat and take advantage of it to slip away without paying, I find it really painful not to be organized enough to realize that you have people waiting to order for half an hour. Good times when in a packed restaurant you were seated and served within that same half hour.
