02/04/2024: Delicious coffee and equally good brioche! One star for service. Very slow and listless. The blonde waitress with the queue at the counter looked hostile, but never approached the table. I had to get up to order! The waitress Ulli on the other hand was very kind and nice! However, apart from the negative experience, a beautiful bakery, but I don't know if I will return!

25/04/2024: ...Incredible. In 2024 there are still places where entry to our canine friends is prohibited!!! The cost of a cappuccino (2.70 euros) seems a little excessive to me... but the ban on dogs is completely unacceptable!

16/04/2024: My wife and I visited Igor and his lovely place in June. Just after the snow melted sort of between seasons? I found the place scrolling thru YouTube somehow and became entranced with the biking and skiing especially watching his family enjoy the surrounding majesty of the Dolomites. I think the first clip I saw was w Igor and Claudia hiking up To some little Capella having some cured meat and cheeses ands and heading down with a glass of wine in hand taking care not to spill and see who gets down first :) We headed over to chk the cycling which is world class. We would chk in w Igor download the ride and off we would go. Hah. I told my wife it was the “Snowbird” of the bike world. It didn’t go over well but the e-bikes helped. ALOT. for us anyway. Plenty of suffering to be had but since a lot of people have reviewed the restaurant we thought it would be fun to share our experiences. Getting there isn’t super direct but decent enough. If the trains are running. Except for the day we went there. Haha. So, being adaptable we called an Uber and ride shared w a nice lady doing a yoga retreat. $100€ later we arrived at the Ustaria. I tend to stress a bit when travel plans get derailed especially if you are trying to optimize your stay somewhere. That doesn’t involve sitting at a little railway station in Italy in a Sunday watching the wind blow the trees around. Upon arriving we made our way past the the quiet bar into a dining room where we were served some lovely, comforting pasta and some beers and wine. All Good. From there it just got better. The cycling was as beautiful a place on this planet to ride. We trudged up to Pralongia following our Garmin overlord and bombed down to Alta Badia stopping off at a rando golf course for fortification. Needless to say at the end of the day we were chuffed. Dinner was super hearty and the wine list was really great. The rooms? Chefs Kiss. Surgically clean. Window opened on the little stream in the back where the guys in milk trucks would stop for a double espresso in the am and a shot of schnapps at night. The bar was a fun mix of guys w lots of road dust in them and people in spandex. Igor would come out on occasion and sweep up. That was funny. Oh. And the mattresses? Mwah. Great spot. Wonderful people. Going back to ski next year.
13/03/2024: A must! It's not just the many beautiful videos that Igor makes with his family in Alta Badia that are great! You definitely have to eat and go to the bar. The whole village meets here. You will receive excellent service from a very motivated team and it tastes very, very tasty! Fantastico! Gracie! We'll be back very soon. Thanks !!

17/03/2024: Abbiamo scoperto questo piacevole locale, grazie a degli amici della zona che ci hanno accompagnato. La fa da padrona l’ambiente suggestivo e il servizio cordiale e presente. Consigliato per chi ha dei bimbi, vista la presenza di conigli, poni e altri animali. La cena è stata piacevole e di buon livello. Sì se penso di tornare, sicuramente si. Sopratutto credo che sia una meta speciale nelle serate estive. Complimenti

29/02/2024: During a lunch break with my partner, we decided to try the Humus Restaurant, attracted by the numerous positive reviews and word of mouth. However, the experience proved disappointing from the start. Upon our arrival, there was no formal welcome; we were simply given a nod to ask us to sit down. The concept of the place promotes conviviality, which might be nice, but you rely on luck for company at the tables, and we were not lucky. As for the food, expectations were not met. We ordered the dish of the day, rice with black cabbage and feta, which turned out to be a confusing mix of spices that dominated every other flavour, barely revealing the presence of the feta, of which there were only four small pieces. The other dish, a "grilled" vegetable, actually consisted (requires extra small boiled egg, the 4 microscopic bits of feta) charred courgettes and fried aubergines - the latter evidently recycled from another dish (aubergine parmigiana). (I expected at least 3/4 types of vegetables). My question about the method of cooking the aubergines was greeted with annoyance by the owner, who simply confirmed that they were aubergines without providing further explanations. (I understood this on my own) Finally, the price of 31 euros for two dishes and a bottle of water seemed excessive, considering the quality of the food and the service. We left the restaurant disappointed and certainly do not plan to return or recommend it to anyone looking for an enjoyable dining experience.
18/02/2024: Very nicely decorated. Friendly staff and a good selection of vegan dishes. Local and organic products.

28/12/2023: The Edelweißhütte is not open in the winter months. It is located at the highest point of the Jaufenpass. The view from here is always breathtaking.

21/03/2024: Notice to all waiters in Italy as the season is about to begin. I would like to warn hotel staff throughout Italy of the danger of this restaurant. It's not a great working environment. They have an extremely hard time finding staff. The cook ran away after a few days while they found no staff in the room. The waiters from the last season don't want to come back. The food for the staff is typical of a refugee camp and the working hours are long. It starts at 9.00 until 16.00 then from 17.30 until 1 after midnight. The accommodation is like a dormitory every 3 people sleep in one room and there is only one bathroom without windows for about 7-8 people. The kitchen is dirty and nothing works. All these things are not said during the interview. Indeed, Goran the director (he addresses people without calling them by name but by crushing their fingers) fills you with dreams and false expectations. If they call you, don't leave, you risk having a wasted trip

He forced my husband to leave the premises, after we had consumed 4 krapfen and 2 chocolates, just because our 1 year old dog, among other things, he was barking when he saw me move away from the table.

18/02/2024: Ristorante a Selva di Valgardena nulla di eccezionale il cibo ma poco corretto il fatto che per prenotare bisogna andare sul sito e pagare 1 euro con la carta di credito. Poi a cena conclusa l'euro pagato non viene scalato dal conto. Bella trovata per aumentare gli incassi
14/02/2024: Iniziamo col dire che se prenotate online ,ti viene richiesta carta di credito dalla quale si prende 1 euro e questo poi non viene scalato dal conto finale. Quando arriviamo abbiamo aspettato un bel pò perché qualcuno ci dicesse a che tavolo sederci. ( e lo hanno fatto indicandocelo col braccio...) 1 crema di pomodoro ,2 insalatone, 1 bottiglia d'acqua e 1 birra 56 euro!

27/11/2023: Ci siamo recati in questo posto durante la visita ai mercatini di natale. Attirati dal nome e dalla curiosità, abbiamo trovato molte cose che dalle nostre parti non ci sono. I prezzi non sono alla portata di tutte le tasche, però ne vale la pena.

09/10/2023: Typical South Tyrolean mountain hut, well-kept environment. Very friendly staff, excellent and plentiful food. Prices are more than safe, considering the above. Worth a stop after a visit to the earth pyramids
