30/09/2024: Usually the restaurants near the place to visit, in this case the Sanctuary of San Gabriele, do not offer impeccable quality. The Gran Sasso Restaurant deserves all the praise possible. Well looked after and clean, the owner is affable, funny and competent. All the dishes offered are quality and delicious. Highly recommended for anyone in the area.

09/09/2024: Accommodation close to the sanctuary of San Gabriele in Isola del Gran Sasso, a place with a panoramic view, family-run, extremely clean. Slow service as befits a restaurant that serves excellent home-grown food. Excellent appetizer and first courses, hot and plentiful. First courses: gnocchi with porcini mushrooms, ONLY porcini mushrooms, sausage and crispy bacon, and crescents with ricotta and yellow cherry tomatoes. Time tyrant we didn't have time to go further. If it is true that a book cannot be judged by its cover, we must however say that the first pages are valuable. In the second episode, integration. Rooms not evaluated because not used.

New comfortable bedrooms also including mini bar and rich breakfast. Recommended for spending relaxing moments in contact with nature and suitable for all those who have a 4-legged friend. 12/08/2024: Non credo di poter esprimere il sapore, l'odore, il gusto e l'antica storia di questa centenaria pasticceria. Appena sotto le pendici del Gran Sasso si trova questa pasticceria da poco rinnovata in onore dei 💯 anni di storia, che mi lascia sempre con le papille gustative grate di aver ancora una volta assaggiato i prodotti di questo locale. Biscotti tipici abruzzesi, mostaccioli, bocconotti, brutti ma buoni, al cocco, alle mandorle e tanti altri sono solo alcuni dei biscotti che potrete trovare. Pasta fresca "tirata" ancora a mano, spaghetti alla chitarra, timballo, lasagne, ravioli ed altri tipi di pasta. Bomboloni con la crema , cornetti etc. Da non tralasciare la classica "pizza" abruzzese con alchermes. Il tutto condito con uno scenario naturalistico unico nel suo genere. Favolosa!!

14/12/2024: Oggi, 14 dicembre, Ci siamo fermati per puro caso in questo ristorante, abbiamo pranzato molto bene e l'accoglienza è stata ottima. Rapporto qualità prezzo ottimo. Consiglio vivamente. 10+😀
26/08/2024: Veramente stupiti dell'ottima cucina, ovviamente siamo in Abruzzo ma qui è tutto un capolavoro di cucina soprattutto per un arrosto misto

27/01/2024: Il titolo non è a caso, anche se purtroppo ci vorrà del tempo prima di dimenticare questa esperienza di qualità pessima!
Siamo andati con la voglia di arrosticini, ricordando una buona qualità in merito, ma… subito doccia fredda (in tutti i sensi, dato che sembrava di mangiare all’aperto, d’inverno e in alta quota), arrosticini che sembravano arrivare cotti dalla settimana precedente…, duri, freddi e dal cattivo gusto.
Subito li abbiamo fermati, bevuto un sorso di acqua e letteralmente scappati!!!
Purtroppo prima di “scappare”, da persone oneste e per bene, abbiamo pagato il conto, pure salato!
Ho cancellato il numero!
20/01/2024: Siamo stati in famiglia dopo aver prenotato, scegliendo un venerdì sera. Ci siamo trovati a dover mangiare arrosticini non freschi, sicuramente di giorni prima, duri a dir poco e cotti male. Siamo rimasti delusi e amareggiati, visto che conoscevamo già il posto. Sicuramente non torneremo più. Abbiamo risolto tornando a casa e cucinare.
