This à la carte sushi restaurant is small, but I find it very charming. The sushi is good quality, but I have to say that for the price, I definitely expected something a little better, especially in the flavor of the uramaki and the presentation of the sushi "boat." I also didn't find the desserts to be very flavorful. The Negroni they make is very good.
I dined at Zushi in Reggio Emilia for Valentine's Day, and the experience was overall pleasant, but with a few downsides.
The wait at the entrance and between courses was quite long: understandable on such a crowded evening, but it still impacted the experience. The staff, always courteous, suffered from the chaos of the evening, giving the impression of being overwhelmed.
Regarding the food, the special mix boat was truly excellent, while the sashimi fell short of expectations, falling short of what I had expected. For an à la carte menu, honestly, I would have expected much more.
One positive was the 20% discount I got by booking with The Fork, which made the bill more balanced for the experience.
Overall, a decent experience, but it could have been better, especially considering the restaurant's caliber and reputation. Perhaps on a less chaotic evening, the service and experience would have been different.
