If you are looking for a place where the name says it all, "Zitto e Mangia" is the answer. We spent a working lunch here with our respective wives, partners and children, and it was an experience that took us back in time, directly to our grandmother's house. The place is small but full of details that tell stories of a bygone era: from the foot warmer to the cantaro (yes, the famous tin potty of the past), up to the lavaturo, which was once used to wash clothes and is now transforms into an original charcuterie board. Originality? He's at home here. Let's move on to the food: the starters are a masterpiece of authentic flavours. The broad bean purée with chicory is simply a "must", the tripe deserves a standing ovation and the fried paranza smells of the sea and freshness. But the undisputed king is the pan fried with strong ricotta and cherry tomato: an explosion of taste that you won't forget. Red wine has a slightly retro charm that doesn't please everyone, but rosé is an excellent alternative. The roast? Very good, a confirmation of quality. The lunch ended on a high note with sweet and bitter, which gave the perfect finishing touch. Prices? We won't tell you, because it's an experience worth discovering for yourself. But we give you some advice: book! Otherwise you risk remaining on the street, consoled only by the inebriating scent that comes out of the place. The staff is courteous and the waiters are efficient, ready to make everything even more pleasant. In short, it's really quiet here and you eat... and you leave satisfied! Dr. Andrea

Il nome del locale mi ha incuriosito, appena entrati abbiamo trovato un atmosfera informale , familiare il cameriere ci ha consigliato un paio di piatti che abbiamo gustato con soddisfazione , prezzi ottimi e soprattutto buona qualità della materia prima .passateci

14/01/2025: Mi ha sorpresa , non c'ero mai stata... Si mangia benissimo... Una piccola pecca, gli straccetti all'aceto balsamico erano troppo acetosi 😰 da migliorare direi
28/11/2024: The owners are kind, helpful, welcoming, I would say thoughtful, and always ready to listen to requests, tastes and needs, trying to please customers as much as possible. Everything is prepared with care and with good, fresh ingredients. Honestly, it relaxes me a lot to eat at the Portici, not only for the good and tasty cuisine, but also for the family atmosphere that is felt. The most particular and pleasant feature is the environment, that is, being able to have lunch or dinner outdoors but protected by the porticoes, in winter lunch is very pleasant on sunny days but also in the evening because it is heated by the stoves, in summer it is beautiful enjoy the warm evenings in this truly special environment.
