Zirmtal Alm In Castelbello-ciardes

The Zirmtal Alm is picturesquely situated in the mountains. The path to the hut is extremely attractive and easy to walk. Near the hut, you'll find a pretty little lake that invites you to linger.

After a strenuous, steep climb (approx. 700 meters in elevation) from the "Alte Mühle" parking lot, you reach the beautifully situated Zirmtal Alm, from which you can enjoy breathtaking views of Lake Zirmtal. The hike is definitely worth it; the food, like at almost every other alpine hut, is excellent and absolutely worth the price.

A rustic hut with a rustic host. Since we arrived early at 10 a.m., we started with apricot cake and coffee, then a nap in a deckchair. We continued with a delicious roast lamb with dumplings and Swiss pine schnapps for dessert. Everything was excellent. We'll be back next year. A hut with animals, simply a place to feel at home.

Everything you'd expect from an alpine pasture is offered here in the best possible way. A definite recommendation!!! 👍🏻

It's so beautiful here! What was funny right when we arrived was that the host had to catch Max and Traudel, who had run away...😹 There's also a toilet in a tree here, which you don't see every day.

Simply wonderful! At a good 2140 meters above sea level, you'll find the Zirmtal Alm, with the lake of the same name just a stone's throw away. This rustic alpine hut is simply and idyllicly situated in the mountains. The host has done his homework. Excellent food at more than fair prices and excellent staff round out the experience.
