Top location and excellent quality meat... It's always a pleasure to come back!

A lovely little place to enjoy excellent meat. The butcher's counter is very well stocked. They don't take reservations, but you walk in on a first-come, first-served basis, choose your meat, and then sit inside the small room at your assigned table. You can also order delicious local appetizers, and I highly recommend the baked potatoes drizzled with excellent local olive oil. I've been there twice and will definitely return for top-quality meat. My group and I ordered entrecôte, diaphragm, zampina, and their fabulous breaded bombette. The entrecôte and diaphragm literally melted in your mouth and were cooked to perfection, all accompanied by an excellent house Primitivo. My rating? 10 out of 10.

In 45 years I have never eaten such excellent meat. Also, the service was fast and friendly. I hope to return soon!

We went for lunch on Sunday, and as always, it was a great experience. The restaurant, in the heart of Cisternino's historic center, is very charming and well-kept, with a traditional and welcoming atmosphere. The traditional Apulian ceramic plates and glasses are beautiful, adding an authentic touch to the ambiance. The staff is friendly and helpful. The cured meats and meats are excellent: tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The bombette, in particular, are exceptional: tasty, but not excessively greasy. Excellent value. A must-try for anyone who wants to savor the true tradition of Cisternino.

A typical local grill with a meat counter where you can choose from a wide variety of delicacies, including strips, bombette, sausages, and many other types of meat. Excellent quality. Fast service and friendly staff. No reservations required; entry is on a first-come, first-served basis. A different experience than usual. We were very satisfied, and the quality/price ratio is excellent. 🥩🥓🍖🍷

I've been back several times, I'm from Puglia, there must be a reason why I do it, the first time I thought it was a place for tourists, then I realized that there is quality and price there, I will continue to go back.

The Cisternino fornelli...we ate in a fantastic location, with so many options. It feels like the inside of a trullo, very warm and well-kept. The meat was superb!

Zio Pietro is not just any steakhouse, it’s an experience that gives you a genuine taste of Puglia, with meat that comforts and satisfies in a setting that feels both homey and special.
