5 stars because 10 isn't enough. Unbeatable for gluten-free options. We live in Monza, and despite the endless choice in the Milanese hinterland, this place is a must-visit every time we're in Lecce because it's unmatched in terms of variety, flavors, prices, and courtesy. The guys are incredibly kind and helpful, and an honorable mention goes to Lorenzo and his attentiveness to customers. The owner is attentive and always friendly. We highly recommend the fried calzone and the half pizza, which you'd hardly notice if they didn't tell you it's gluten-free. Highly, highly recommended. We don't usually write reviews, but this place truly deserves it.

The pizza is really good, well-topped and with a nice crispy crust that doesn't fall apart as soon as you pick up a slice. The wait times are quite short, and the staff is very friendly.
I recommend it to anyone looking for a simple evening, sitting at a table, and not wanting to spend a lot.

We drove an hour from Tricase just to eat here, as I'm celiac.

The arrancini, the calzone, and the potato croquettes are delicious 🙏♥️
We were also given a vanilla cream donut (gluten-free) TO KILL 🤭
My partner had it too, but with regular flour, and it was also very good.
We'll share the address with our friends and family and will definitely be back.

You can never go wrong at Uncle Giglio, both for the quality of the products, the friendly approach, and the excellent communication. The fried panzerotti are fantastic. For those with celiac disease, this is the place to go. All the wonderful, polite, and kind people are excellent.
