At Chen's you eat real traditional Taiwanese cuisine, his way of managing the restaurant is different from that of all the others. She prepares everything on the spot, from the pasta to the fillings of her magnificent ravioli. Come without haste to meet a real person and have a unique culinary experience, the kind that can't even be seen with binoculars in restaurants that are now all the same.

Il ristorante è piccolo e non coglie l’attenzione, però abbiamo deciso di provare. Scelta migliore non avremmo potuto fare: La chef che di norma accetta solo prenotazioni, ci fa accomodare e gentilissima ci informa che tutti i suoi piatti sono fatti al momento con ingredienti freschi (motivo per cui chiede la prenotazione) e ci dà qualche consiglio. Ordiniamo 2 Bao Zi… buonissimi! Seguono il brasato di maiale con riso e Ramen con vitello ed entrambi ci conquistano: il brasato incredibilmente saporito viene accompagnato oltre che dal Rossi da un uovo e una rapa stufate. Incredibili due sapori eccezionali e mai sentiti, varrebbero la pena addirittura da soli! Il ramen invece è come immagino lo farebbe mia madre se fosse taiwanese: equilibrato e saporito, le verdure fresche e croccanti (tra cui l’ottimo cavolo cinese Pak Choi) il tutto accompagnato da 2 fette di vitello tenerissime. Dulcis in fundo il Mochi alle arachidi… incredibile mai sentito così buono!! Il conto è fin troppo onesto per quello che offre. Ci torneremo!

The place is quite dilapidated with four tables in total made up of smaller tables joined together. Slow service which, according to the cook, is due to the fact that all the food she serves is handmade by her and here, however, it takes 20 minutes to pass between one course and another with 9 people in the whole place it's a bit much... The food however isn't bad you can see that there is manual preparation behind it and that they are not things prepared beforehand...

The owner cooks on sight and with fresh products since booking is mandatory and personalized. Small and intimate venue gives a special exclusivity. Very special and original place!
