We found this place near St. Peter's Square thanks to a gentleman who told us the way we entered and the staff was very kind welcoming us warmly the food is very good even if this place is very small and very nice even if it has some stains on the ceiling. I had a good time

The €18 set menu was excellent, with generous portions of both a first and second course at a very affordable price, especially considering it's just two minutes from St. Peter's Square. We read the reviews and none of us ordered lasagna. It's a place with simple, well-prepared food. Perfect for a quick stop while continuing your Vatican visit.

Basic restaurant of the "mom & pop" style. Very pleasant staff and we were cared for. Overall I liked it, however given the food choices, I would just go for pizza or pasta next time.

The restaurant is located near St. Peter's Basilica, yet it's very quiet, tucked away in a side street. The prices are reasonable, the food is good, and the staff is very friendly. We felt very welcome. Highly recommended.

We were with friends, and despite the hustle and bustle, you can enjoy peace and quiet, and the food is good. A big plus was that the Polish woman who served us was also very nice. She knew what we liked. I recommend it ;)

09/11/2025: A charming place, with beautiful industrial architecture, as it was once the actual cabin of the old cable car station. The kindness of the owners and the deliciousness of the dishes won us over immediately. The tempura zucchini flowers and carbonara were amazing. The wine selection is perhaps a little limited, but the ones on the menu are excellent. The view of the lake is breathtaking. We'll be back soon!

15/11/2025: We visited Trattoria La Tana Sarda and had a truly impeccable experience! The food was simply delicious: flavorful dishes, prepared with fresh ingredients and with that traditional Sardinian care that shines through in every bite. Special thanks go to the waiters and Vincenzo, the restaurant manager. They made us feel welcomed and pampered from start to finish. They entertained us between courses with warmth and professionalism, without ever being intrusive. Their presence made the meal not only delicious, but also extremely enjoyable and fun. I highly recommend La Tana Sarda to anyone looking for excellent food, sincere hospitality, and a truly uplifting atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!
