26/07/2026: ★★★★★ After a week spent discovering Tuscan cuisine, we never imagined that the best restaurant of our trip would be in Varese. Yet it was. Limbosco offers a cuisine as bold as it is coherent: a refined, contemporary interpretation of Italian gastronomic traditions, combining flavors from different regions in original, surprising, and perfectly balanced combinations. Creativity is never an end in itself: each dish reveals technique, sensitivity, and a profound knowledge of Italian cuisine. The same harmony is found in the ambiance. Sixties-style furnishings, references to Andy Warhol's Pop Art, and a hippie atmosphere coexist with traditional images of the Pope. Seemingly opposing elements, thanks to a clear aesthetic vision, create a space rich in personality, authentic, and unmistakable. The welcome made the experience even more special. The two owners, an extraordinarily kind couple, took the time to chat with us, sharing their philosophy, recommending places to visit in the area, and making us feel truly welcome. Their hospitality is authentic, rare, and precious. Limbosco doesn't follow trends: it has its own identity, a soul, and the courage to express it naturally. It's one of those restaurants that doesn't just serve excellent food, but tells a story through its cuisine, ambiance, and people. For us, it was, without a doubt, the most memorable gastronomic moment of the entire trip. We will return with great pleasure, not only for the excellent cuisine, but above all for the people who have created such a special place.
