This hostel makes an incredibly welcoming environment will lots of social activities all throughout the week to bring people together. The staff was great, the rooms were clean, and the pool made it completely worth it to be a little further from the City center.

Arrival and departure was great, staff was friendly and answered my questions. I was glad with my room, it was quiet, I only heard some noise on saturday. There is a great vibe in the common area. The only thing is that the bathroom had a lot of mold on the floor and on the wall. The overall hygiene was okay!

The hostel is great, very clean and with everything we needed. The activities animated each night are awesome, the staff is very kind and welcoming. And a big bonus for the free pasta !

My friend and I stayed in all-female room and it couldn’t have gone better! These are the things that were particularly appreciated & useful to us: 1) Safe and secure! You needed your room card to access several doors and hallways to get to your room. There were always staff around and they were super welcoming, friendly and approachable. The rooms had standing lockers for each bed to lock your bags in (we had 40L hiking packs that fit, but other girls in our room weren’t able to fit their hard suitcases in them) 2) Rooftop pool & patio! This is what really won us over in booking here. The pool was really cold (it was April) but rooftop was gorgeous; good views, chairs, loungers and tables, and showers right inside the door. 3) Proximity to downtown! Train stop right down the street, only a few stops away from downtown streets, and many trees, shops and stores all around. 4) Super clean! They had cleaners come in every morning to clean the bathroom in our room. They also provided hand soap, shampoo, body wash and toilet paper. 5) Laundry machines in the basement! It was SO convenient having in the same building, it was a few euros per load but they were quite large and also included detergent 6) Large communal kitchen! Stocked with plates, cups, mugs, utensils and cleaning supplies (also large fridges & shelf space) 7)FREE pasta every night! You just need to make sure you get in line on time to ensure you get some as they’d run out quickly. 8) Wonderful roommates! This was probably more by chance but we were roomed with other women who were our age or older (25+). They were all super clean, tidy, respectful, quiet, and we all went to sleep before midnight. We were a bit worried apon arrival since the hostel seemed to have a large, younger, party-crowd with events every night. We all got along wonderfully and made some genuine & lovely friendships and connections. 9) Comfy beds and air conditioning! Compared to other hostels, we had great sleeps, the beds were comfy, and the room felt really cool at night while sleeping (it got quite hot during the day). While there were often people up late outside partying and talking, the noise was never an issue for us and the building did have ‘quiet hours’ each night.

The hostel is quite good. They have plenty of amenities (food until a bit late, laundry, kitchen, pool, activities). What I liked least was the room cleaning; it was supposed to have been cleaned, but the bathroom was in pretty bad shape, although this also depends on who you share a room with. The reception staff were very friendly. They offer free drinks and free pasta every day from 7-8 pm. Although it's a bit far from the city center (30 minutes), you can stay here for a "lower" price. I didn't find the neighborhood to be problematic.

Really enjoyed my stay at yellowsquare. The space was clean and there were a lot of good activities happening. I was also very grateful for the pool on the roof, especially after dragging my bag from the train station when I was pretty much a sweat factory. The main social area was loud at night but the hostel has done a really good job of blocking the rooms off in a way so the sound doesn't spill into the dorms, which is more than I can say about a lot of hostels Ive stayed at. It was also in walking distance to a lot of landmarks and museums, although its probably a good idea to take the people mover to save time and energy. The food in their restaurant was also tasty and well priced, with free pasta in the evenings which draw big lines.

The staff was friendly, the food was good (we had breakfast once). The facilities were good and the common space was lively and fun. We didn't do any of the organized activities so I can't speak on those. Overall we had a nice experience and I wouldn't mind coming back someday!

The 4-bed room has a good size and a nice private bathroom. It's great that the beds have curtains. The hostel itself has great facilities, excellent breakfast and an awesome schedule of entertainment at night.

They were able to give us a clean and comfy room at the last minute. The food is good and drinks are even better. Great prices and very friendly staff. The location is a little far from the city’s main attractions, but public transportation is easily accessible. Definitely recommend!

Really nice place. 100% recommended if you're stopping by in Florence. Very well taken care of, by the staff. I used the shared rooms, no complaints. One thing to mention is if you're going for a shared room, just know there's one bathroom in the room but there are several other bath/changing rooms available outside the room. Food is good, no complaints, there's always something happening everyday in the club below. Definitely worth giving this a try.
