Excellent, I've tried several Japanese restaurants in Milan, one of the best.

I didn't find it very good. I didn't find anything exceptional.
But that's my opinion. Prices a bit too high compared to the dishes. Service not very convincing in explaining the dishes. If you sell special sake (24€ 50cl), the menu must be very clear, not with numbers that are barely legible. But above all, special sakes need to be talked about.
In conclusion, the place lacks communication with customers.

If you ever find yourself in Milan craving a genuine Japanese meal, put Traytoria Yamada at the very top of your itinerary. I am Japanese and can certify that the flavours here are virtually identical to what you would experience in Tokyo or Osaka: rice arrives perfectly polished and steaming hot, the dashi is clear yet profound, and even the pickles have that quietly confident snap that tells you they were prepared properly. You will not encounter tired “fusion” shortcuts or tourist-friendly compromises; every plate is seasoned with the same measured balance of umami, sweetness, and gentle heat that defines authentic home cooking back in Japan. The must-order dish is the Katsu Curry—light, crisp pork cutlet over velvety, spice-layered sauce—which delivers comforting depth without heaviness. For something refreshing, start with the Wakame Salad; its cool sesame-laced marinade resets your palate and highlights the kitchen’s respect for produce. Service is attentive yet unobtrusive, and the staff understand both Japanese courtesy and Italian warmth, effortlessly switching between languages to ensure everyone feels welcome. Prices are fair by Milan standards, especially given the quality of imported ingredients and the skill involved in recreating them faithfully overseas. If anyone insists this is not “real” Japanese food, you can safely ignore future culinary advice from that person—I guarantee its authenticity. Tables are limited, so reserve, arrive hungry, and let the chef pace your meal slowly; you will leave grateful, completely satisfied, inspired.

A set meal restaurant run by a Japanese person.
There are two types of ramen: soy sauce and milk.
Soy sauce is orthodox, but what about milk ramen? When I asked about it, I was told it was Soy Base.
Soy milk based? When I asked what kind of ramen it was, I was told that it was the perfect ramen ^ ^
It was very mild and delicious!
It's a restaurant that I'd like to go to again as it has a wide variety of other menu items! !
The cutlet curry (regular menu) at the seat next to me also looked delicious.
The entrance is something that people living in Japan are not familiar with.
The shop is open but locked, so press the doorbell on the right side of the door to have it opened.

This time I ate the long-awaited cutlet curry.
As expected, the taste is just like Japanese cutlet curry! !
The ramen was consistently delicious, and the fried chicken was even better than other Japanese pubs.
I can definitely recommend it!

Upon request, tuna cheek cooked (one of their off-menu delicacies). Spectacular, as is everything else they do!
