Before Covid it was my favorite in Milan. I returned after many years and discovered that the restaurant has changed. The entrance room is set up differently and the chef's counter is occupied with the DJ console (which wasn't there). The room appears almost empty, while the other room at the back has remained the same with soft lights and it seems more welcoming. In fact there are more people. When I asked them to move to the other room, they said it wasn't possible. For me, in the restaurant where you pay more than 100 euros per person there must not be series A and series B rooms.
As for the quality of the food, I found it slightly lower than it was. Perhaps because the prices have remained unchanged since 2019 but the fish has increased so much in cost, they are choices.

I’ve been reviewing restaurants for years, and I often cook myself, so I like to think I have a good eye for picking dinner spots. Not this time. This restaurant was a letdown. For 149 euros, we got a few pieces of sashimi (decent) and an ANGUS beef tartare (inedible). The wine by the glass was enjoyable, but the portion was so small it felt more like a sample you’d get to decide if you liked it. On a positive note, we really liked the interior. I’m also glad we didn’t give in to the waiter, who was overly pushy about ordering more.

Where the Mediterranean meets the East – Wicky's Japanese Innovative Cuisine – an excellent restaurant serving innovative Japanese cuisine less than 10 minutes from Milan Cathedral and easily reachable by public transport.
Wicky's is an elegant venue, with contemporary furnishings that extends over two rooms: the first with windows overlooking Corso Italia and the second with a view of the kitchen and sushi counter, where the chef normally serves the tasting menu.
The high price reflects the quality of the cuisine and service. They recently received the “Tre Bacchette” award from the Gambero Rosso Guide and are cited in the Michelin Guide; we opted for the à la carte menu.
It is difficult to choose which of the dishes we preferred because they were all very good and difficult to compare: however, if I had to think about what left an impression on us, it would certainly be worth mentioning the seared salmon which had a fresh and particular flavor and the saffron and coconut ice cream - I was amazed at how the two flavors were perfectly balanced.
We decided to rate our experience with 5 stars out of five as the level of service and cuisine was decidedly high, but above all successful, meeting expectations.

Dove il Mediterraneo incontra l’Oriente – Wicky’s Japanese Innovative Cuisine – un ottimo ristorante di cucina giapponese innovativa a meno di 10 minuti dal Duomo di Milano e facilmente raggiungibile con i mezzi.
Wicky’s è un locale elegante, dall’arredamento contemporaneo che si estende su due sale: la prima con vetrine che danno su Corso Italia e la seconda con vista cucina e banco sushi, dove lo chef normalmente serve il menù degustazione.
Il prezzo elevato rispecchia la qualità della cucina e del servizio. Recentemente hanno ricevuto il premio “Tre Bacchette” dalla Guida Gambero Rosso e sono citati nella Guida Michelin; noi abbiamo optato per il menù alla carta.
È difficile scegliere quale dei piatti abbiamo preferito perché erano tutti molto buoni e difficilmente confrontabili: se però dovessi pensare a ciò che ci è rimasto impresso, sarebbe sicuramente da menzionare il salmone scottato che aveva un sapore fresco e particolare ed il gelato allo zafferano e cocco - i ha stupito come i due gusti fossero perfettamente equilibrati.
Abbiamo deciso di valutare la nostra esperienza con 5 stelle su cinque in quanto il livello del servizio e della cucina fosse decisamente alto, ma soprattutto ben riuscito, rispettando le aspettative.

I've eaten many Michelin-starred tasting menus in Europe and North America, and the cuisine and service at Wicky's is even better than a number of them! Brilliant, surprising courses present fireworks of flavors and textures I've never experienced before and left me almost too full for the dessert course (almost!). I can definitely say that I've never had sushi like this before! The sake menu was very nice and the service was truly outstanding. We'll always treasure our experience here.

I went to this restaurant with some friends for dinner.
Very elegant and minimal place where the classic Japanese style requires.
Very professional staff and always present from the beginning to the end!!!
We entrusted ourselves to the chef who offered us a series of carpaccio to share, followed by a selection of mixed sushi. Result: a series of authentic flavors that are now rarely savored in the city. We concluded the dinner with a truly divine slow-cooked suckling pig. Desserts in line with the standard of the dinner.
Highly recommended for connoisseurs of Japanese cuisine...if you come from the classic Japanese-Brazilian sushi chains you will certainly notice important differences in my humble opinion in favor of the restaurant just reviewed.
Here we are on another level

Recommended for both intimate dinners and work-friends.

We took two tasting menus, one fish and one mixed meat and fish. This second menu is very similar to the first with the exception of two courses in which the tuna was replaced by meat. All of the highest quality for an original Japanese cuisine with great personality. The carpaccios are also excellent and original for the accompanying sauces.
