Wasabi In Torino

We found the restaurant by chance because it's close to our hotel. What a stroke of luck! The atmosphere and service were top-notch. The cuisine was superb. I hadn't left a restaurant this impressed in a long time. As I told the owner, the three Gambero Rosso ratings were no coincidence. Highly recommended!

It's a truly comprehensive experience: the atmosphere is intimate and comfortable, truly reminiscent of a traditional restaurant, with both traditional Eastern and Western-style seating. The chef carefully selects the dishes, using top-quality ingredients selected with meticulous care. The service is impeccable, and each dish is accompanied by a brief explanation.

I've been to Wasabi twice already, the last time today, because I wanted to take my friends to lunch! 🍣 It's a very traditional Japanese restaurant in Turin. We sat on tatami mats, surrounded by a truly authentic atmosphere. 🍜 The food and atmosphere were fantastic: the sushi and sashimi were incredibly fresh and of excellent quality. Akemi is a very kind and knowledgeable waitress; we really appreciated her! She explained each dish to us, and we really appreciated her assistance. 🫶🏼

Excellent cuisine, especially the sashimi, fresh and tasty fish. The eel sushi deserves a special mention... top! Wide selection of spirits, whiskeys, and even gin, all strictly Japanese. Highly recommended!!

If after this dinner you don't feel like going to Japan, you have the wrong approach and mindset.

After trying it three times, I can say (in my opinion) that it's the best authentic Japanese restaurant in Turin, both in terms of ambiance and cuisine. The wait staff is very knowledgeable and skilled, and there's a sake menu (finally, someone makes it) that lists the region, producer, and aromatic notes. Ask the wait staff, and they'll be able to describe them all. They also offer tuna belly, which is expensive, but I recommend ordering it when available. Ramen is only available on Monday evenings; the fried foods are well-made and light, and the tofu is excellent. I don't think sushi is their strong point, but it's well-executed and very good, better than 90% of the places that serve it in Turin. It's a nice experience if you can get a reservation on the tatami. Reservations are highly recommended.

As always, Masanori amazes us with the elegance of his dishes, which reveal the work behind them, the research, the exceptional quality of the product, and the passion. The meagre was fantastic, and the sushi and gyoza were truly delicious. Not to mention the sake, which I enjoyed even though I don't drink; I managed to finish a glass of the sparkling one, very strange and unique. Dinner at Wasabi was a great experience.

Excellent Japanese restaurant, which unlike others offers a more natural cuisine, without the use of salt and mayonnaise. Excellent service.

We were truly satisfied with our experience. The ambiance is meticulously designed and exudes an authentic Japanese atmosphere: tatami mats, simple furnishings, and waiters in traditional dress make everything very evocative and coherent. As for the food, we found everything to be excellent: fresh and well-prepared sushi, light and crispy tempura, well-executed. You can sense the attention to quality and presentation. The only small complaint about the desserts: the mochi seemed a bit dry, less convincing than the rest of the menu. Overall, however, a very pleasant experience that we recommend, especially to those looking not only for good food but also for an atmosphere that truly takes you on a journey.

Family dinner last night... everything was delicious, from the small welcome plate of tofu in dashi broth to the sushi, panko-battered tuna sashimi, and dessert. I chose the vegetarian menu, and it was excellent...the gyoza were exceptional. The staff were very kind, and the restaurant was beautifully decorated. Highly recommended.
