The visit was part of a tour of Marsala that I wasn’t too interested in. How wrong I was! I never knew how much I didn’t know about salt! Fascinating visit- loved seeing the workings of the old windmill and tasting the different types of salt. Really really interesting! Plus we arrived near sunset and had fantastic views

A fascinating place, I recommend visiting it only after visiting the salt pans museum, as it allows you to understand the uses of the various basins and their related history.

The place is nice, though a little bit dull and could be better maintained. There was also a small shop there, I think one can buy salt or souvenirs from there, but I am not sure. To road to the destination is pretty bad, but doable. The best part was that we saw flamingos on the way back from the Saline di Trapani, in a lake. 🦩

Exceptional guided tour with specialized WWF staff. You'll see fish jumping out of the salt pans and beautiful flamingos, and learn all about the ancient history of salt and how the hydraulic systems of all the various basins work to produce the final salt. A wonderful experience, I recommend it to everyone. There's no charge.

26/09/2025: I give the pizza 4 stars because it's good. I give the service 4 stars because it was attentive, kind, and quick to fix a small problem with the draft beer. The only downside is the location: it's the only place that doesn't say anything, but it's surrounded by deafening noise (we left immediately after dinner because it was so loud).
21/09/2025: Great restaurant with a view of the city and the sea. The gnocchi with pistachio pesto was divine! I highly recommend it. The pizza was also very tasty, but we've had better dough in Sicily. The service was super friendly and accommodating.
