I 100% recommend this little restaurant, the pasta is excellent. The service is great, the waitresses and waiters are pleasant. The restaurant is tucked away on a street which provides a pleasant setting.

We came across this restaurant by chance. The food is amazing. We came again the next day and it was amazing again!!! Excellent food, lovely place.
Just a small thing, the owner is very nice to the locals, and doesn't look towards tourists at all. That's the feeling I got. However, the food is simply amazing!

Obviously, all reviews must be considered in relation to the categories.
We found and chose this little restaurant (I say that because it's not huge and the term is certainly used in a positive sense!) blindly, following the "tips" on Google Maps (which speaks to the usefulness of reviews!).
It was a good choice!
Very pleasant atmosphere (background music, not blasting your eardrums!), professional and courteous service.
But, above all, excellent dishes. Unconventional ideas, excellent presentation, and delicious on the palate.
The quail eggs with bacon and truffle were excellent; The chickpea cream soup was delicious (with a much longer name on the menu!).
It's certainly not a "Roman" restaurant (but an Umbrian one), so no carbonara or cacio e pepe, but that's precisely what makes it special.
I'd like to close by mentioning the focaccia (wood-fired) with raw olive oil and rosemary, which was kindly offered to us as soon as we sat down: excellent dough and sublime extra virgin olive oil (upon request, we were told it was a "house" oil).
In short, if you find yourself in the Piazzale degli Eroi area, don't miss out on this gem.

Tip van onze Host Allesio. Echt Italian’s Restaurant in de buurt van het Vatican Museum. Heerlijk gegeten en fijne ambiance. We waren de enige Nederlanders! Producten van locale leveranciers.

Entriamo, il proprietario ci sistema in un tavolo d’angolo. Personaggio appassionato e molto loquace, può piacere o meno ma è un appassionato , un po’ esagerato ma ci piace perché rende l’atmosfera cordiale riducendo spazio cliente -ristoratore e facendoti sentire un po’ “ di casa” se possiamo esagerare . Ci consiglia un carciofo cotto tra la brace ( speciale ) , carciofi in tempura (buoni) ; il prosciutto al coltello e’ spettacolare , davvero ricorda sapori antichi. Prendiamo costine di maiale e galletto alla diavola rigorosamente alla brace ( buoni entrambi e ben conditi ) una cicoria in padella ed una cipolla sotto alla cenere , anche questa buonissima .. infine un tiramisù composto al tavolo molto buono . Porzioni abbondanti , una strepitosa focaccina con un prosecco all’attivo al tavolo offerta e l’acqua non viene inserita nel conto ( omaggiata ). Insomma una bella serata , due risate e discorsi piacevoli con il proprietario ed usciamo soddisfatti . Il conto è proporzionato alla qualità del cibo . Promosso . Consiglio .
